Thanks for the kind comments. We're still in the honeymoon phase where everyone is being good about keeping the nice new bathroom uncluttered and using their medicine cabinet for all the teenage "products". How many different Axe scents are there, anyway? Tina_ma, the paint color came from the box that the RH towel bar came in, of all things. When I saw the box, I thought "that's the color!" and DH went to the paint store with the box and had them match it. Enduring, the green/yellow element in the mood board is a glicee print by Lynne Taesch that I still plan to put up in the bathroom over the towel bar. I just haven't had a chance to mount it yet, but I think it will go well. I also need to find some type of houseplant that will be happy in a bathroom with no natural light. Any ideas?

Lovely sense of style! Bravo! We investigated porcelain marble look-alike tile but we decided on real marble which we will have to care for without any acidic products. Beware that there is a repeating pattern in marble look-alike porcelain tile like (on wall paper which will give away the secret.) We found great deals on Amazon and at Lowes for Bianco Carrara subways, pencils, chair rails and floor and shower floor hexes (1/3 the price of tile stores). We found a gorgeous remnant for our shower bench at a marble and stone shop at an amazing price. I can't wait until it's done to post photos! But back to your house... it's gorgeous!

Good point Zookeeper63!. At the moment we all huddle in to the master bathroom while the kids shower together, and we all have a family teeth brushing session so it feels like we need the two sinks - one parent, one kid to a sink. You point out correctly that that will not likely be the case as they grow older, or if we have guests. The vanity we are choosing would either have two big drawers, or four drawers. I assume that this would be enough storage for extra things - hair dryers, toilet rolls, toothpastes, shampoos etc. But, if we go the single sink route, it gives us room to instead also have a tall cabinet which would add even more storage. In fact, with that, we could skip getting the Godmorgon (medicine cabinet style) mirror cabinets and just use the tall cabinet for storage. Good pointers Zookeeper63. We took another look at things and measured the room (to confirm against plans). We actually have a full 12' (vs 11'10" per plan). We've also thought more about closing off the toilet. While it's not ideal (no window), if we rotate the toilet and move the stack slightly, we can create a 3'x5'8" space with pocket door as a toilet closet. We've also fit in a 6' tub. The loss of the closet seems OK, as we gain additional cabinets, and if we vary the height, I think we can make up for the space. Here's a quick sketch of our thinking. Would love thoughts / experiences on partitioned toilets, 6ft tubs and overall space.
