Weedyacres...here you go. I wish that I put a cupboard below, but originally the toilet was going in that nook and it wouldn't have worked. The other bookcase is on the other side in our bedroom. This was empty space because we pushed the tub up to give the toilet more room. I hate dead space, so I put the shelves in. It ended up that there still wasn't enough room for the toilet...bad measuring on the part of the plans. This room was done in two parts, so it was hard to get a good feel for the space until all the plumbing had been roughed in and walls of the old space were taken down. I guess this is more than you need to know. I haven't figured out what will go in the shelves yet.

Your bathroom is lovely. And I agree it looks very clean and crisp. The look I am going for is traditional or old world elegant. Again, I am only replacing the vanity, counter and sinks, and lighting as well as wall color and window treatments. I am also considering replacing the shower doors with new, borderless ones. The colors shown (gold and burgundy) are in the adjoining master bedroom. I would prefer NOT to match the bedroom paint but of course need to compliment. Any ideas are appreciated.

I love seeing all the lovely baths!! our Master Bath was finished in July, so we're still in love with our slate and marble. :) It feels very grown up (esp. compared to the 80s brass and pickled oak we replaced...). please excuse the blurry from the phone pics. the bling-y sconces refract the light all over the place lights at night check out the awesome vein in the marble and the cool accent wall (wraps from the wall in the shower with the fixtures to around the other side opposite the toilet thanks for letting me share!

This is my current bathroom. Its five by six, so 30 sq ft. We also do have a very small linen closet just outside the room for storage of stuff like toilet paper. Unseen is a small cabinet over the toilet for medicine cabinet overflow, the cat litter box wedged between the sink and toilet, the towel hooks behind the door and the radiator on the wall opposite the sink. It's not a great bathroom by any means. It's just fine for one person at a time. Or one person, one cat. You can do what you need to do. It's the nicest bathroom I've ever had, but I've lived in some pretty terrible homes in the past. It can be very uncomfortable when the two people try and share it. The radiator is steam, not hot water. It gets very, very hot and bare hiney plus hot radiator is a bad combo, as there really isn't adequate clearance for one to walk behind someone standing at the sink. Also, you have shut the bathroom door before you sit on the toilet because there isn't room to do it afterwards. I think even one more foot in either direction would make a huge difference with the comfort level of the room. At least I would be able to walk past my husband shaving at the sink without a hot rear. When we move to the new place, the bathroom,will be something like three times the size of this one. What I would do if I had they money is carve the one huge bathroom into a modest but sizeable full bath plus a powder room.
