I see them being lovely with all those nice Florida colors you have to work with.
Slightly OT but my DH who is from KeyWest was so accustomed to those tropical colors that when he moved in with me (I live in AR), imagine the shock when he realized I decorate everything in black,browns,greys,reds,oranges,greens ect.
LOL Poor man, he's probably scarred for life-but he's still hanging around.

AW, he is still hanging around, that is a good sign! I didn't really like the tropical colors while living in Virginia. The sunlight is different and you 'go with the flow' wherever you live. Now that we moved back to Florida (Space Coast), I am ready again to see Tropical colors.
I think it will be hard to match this blue, but I will be up to the challenge! And the fun of looking!

These dishes are beautiful. They will look wonderful with Florida yellow, mint greens, and soft oranges, as well as turquoise and coral. You can be inspired by the many colorful tiles you must have in your area, too.

Isn't TS shopping the best, you are going to be so hooked. Those are beautiful. Magpie is right a lot of the colorful tiles I saw in Florida, had rich blues and greens and reds. I love cobalt blue and emerald green together, especially with tropical plants.

Love your dishes, I'd have jumped at those too but so lucky you waited for 1/2 price day by chance. I think your combo of blue/white with turquoise, corals, and shells sounds very "old Florida". I must have seen a pic, maybe in AD or somewhere.

Looking forward to seeing your TS and glad you're having fun in FL in thrifts. I've heard the thrift stores are very good down there because of all the retirees and when snowbirds donate their stuff at the end of the winter season (coming up soon).

What a wonderful find and at such a bargain price, too! I just bought my own set of blue & white dinnerware last year and I'm so happy with them. As Jane mentioned, they'll look great with yellow. I just bought a set of yellow placemats last week to use with mine this Spring & Summer. I set my Winter table using them with silver and white, which is also pretty.

Colbalt blue!!! Yes, I love that color. I didn't even think of that color! Oh wow, that will be fun to find them, when I think of all the pieces I have walked by in the years past! ha ha I didn't expect that sale, and it was a really plesant surprise!

I sent a picture to Judith (email) and she said she could feel a tablescape coming on! ha ha, that means photos when I put one together. Most of my stuff is packed, so I have nothing to work with, I will have to look around some more! TJMaxx will get a visit soon! I have two near me and 3 Ross stores. The Ross stores do not have much.

Thank you! TS is great for odd pieces and stuff that is out of the ordinary. TJMx and other stores like that all sell the same stuff, at least at TSing makes for a little variety.

I LOVE 'old Florida' look, I have always loved that look when going into older homes in Miami. Well, you know an older established home just has a certain air about it. Everything seems to just fit. OOOH more treats at the TS's! Thanks for the heads up!

YOU are so right! I have been following Judith's tablescapes for a while, and it led me to this forum and now I love seeing what you all do with your dishes. I never thought I would become a 'dish addict' BUT, looks like I am there!
I am going to check out yellow, greens, white, and cobalt, coral, and oranges. Wow, lots of choices! I might even hang them on the wall! OOOH winter look with silver and white. I already own a lot of silver and white.

The possibilities for this new 'dish addict'! Ahhhh! Thanks girls for being contageous!

thank you so much, would you believe I walked away from them 2 times! but a few days later stopped in and they were still there. I thought, then... they have to be mine! Won't take that long to decide on things that go with these! what a bonus to have them on sale too!
