Thrift store finds.
Comments (7)I have a small le creuset saucepan in perfect condition I bought at Goodwill for $3. I also bought all my cast iron skillets, chicken fryer, dutch oven and cast iron griddle pans there. All are vintage and are now in wonderful shape and have enhanced my cooking and my enjoyment of cooking. My husband thinks I have too many cast iron skillets. I have almost all of the sizes so that is not too many! I have found Griswold and Wagner there. I bought a food dehydrator from GW. It was still in the box and had the instruction booklet. It was old but unused.and works well. I have also found some pampered chef things still in the box there for cheap. I have a thing for antique/vintage muffin tins and have picked up several for a song. I loooove thrift shopping!...See Moremy thrift store find...
Comments (11)I looked at the link to ebay for the signed book just to see and because I have a few RR autographs one is a book "American Life" 2 are in autograph books from my visits to Hollywood as a young girl and then when I went in my 30s. The link is only for auctions ongoing and what is being asked for a signed book. I went to completed auctions and saw the last one sold for less than I paid for my pre-ordered copy of "Shelters of Stone" when it first came out. I would assume most anything signed by Ronald Reagan would fetch a few dollars if the signature had been authenticated. His own books 1st edition and signed by him haven't sold for that much. His autograph is not rare by any means. He signed autographs as an actor for many years, then signed a lot of the presidential memorabilia for all those years and after his presidency continued to sign autographs on his many books. Completed E-bay AUTOGRAPHED RONALD REAGAN BOOK "WHERE'S THE REST OF ME?" 20 Bids Sold $275.03 End Date:Aug-14 17:15 I wonder why would RR be signing a book by Jean M Auel? LIL Here is a link that might be useful: completed auction for JMAuel signed book...See MoreThrift store find - neat pot holder idea
Comments (3)What a cute idea! I keep my plants outside all year (I'm in south FL) so they just get pushed on shelves and "wheeled" around into the sunlight. But if I were going to keep plants indoors, I would definitely copy something like you have done. It makes a very attractive display whil still allowing you to use good quality pots that can be lifted, drained and emptied. Nice job....See MoreUsed furniture/FREE off CL/Thrift store find. Comments (37)I loved reading this post during the week. Now I'm in front of my computer and can participate! We've spent that past four years redecorating most of our small house. Of all that, the only new things purchased were our bedroom furniture, including the bed + a side table, lamp and chair. There are many reasons for buying used furniture, housewares, cars and clothing. #1 I like things I can't afford new. #2 New things are usually too big and bulky for our small bungalow #3 I'm a hunter/scavenger In this room, only the bar cart was new. Everything else was flea market, consignment stores, 1st dibbs and craigslist. The mirror was my grandmothers. Some of these things were definitely not cheap. In this room, only the upholstered furniture, rug and the gold/mirror side table were new. Everything else was a gift or came from consignment stores (near & far), eBay, 1st dibbs, The RealReal and estate sales. Like the other room, not everything in here was cheap, but it was affordable for my budget....See Moreannie1992
