Verrrry Interesting, I think you will be glad you bought them. I will try to think of what would work. I like the thought of a jungle theme. If you have solid plates, try the different colors on top and post pictures to help get us started. Maybe a witches hat on them if not a jungle.hehe

I would have bought them too. Instead of jungle, they say to me something rich dark brown, like a black coffee color. They'd be elegant with something dark brown and velvety, and gold accessories.

I'm thinking along Magpie's idea, using rich dark browns.
Could be very dramatic looking. Also using some tropical greens on the table for a centerpiece.
It will be fun seeing what you do and should be fun for

Milosmom...if DH had a choice between jungle and pink flamingos, which one would he prefer? LOL I think Tarzan and Jane would win that round.

Those are super and I vote for the jungle theme. The great thing about table settings is they aren't a permanent fixture, so we can have fun and do jungles or do an elegant table even if our homes are not. As for me, I all ready have a flamingo table in the works. Be sure and post your new charger table, whatever it turns into.

Karen : I think the flamingos would probably cause DH emotional failure of some sort so probably shouldn't do that. LOL
I'm loving the ideas for going both directions. Fun and funky jungle and then the more formal chocolate/brown and gold.
This gives me yet another excuse to go shopping to. hehe

I see something with "coins" ... different bronzes/copper/gold, etc. ... and chocolate/bronze silk or tulle... in the centerpc arrangement... a dark wood pedestal pc or 3 dark wood candleholders (diff hts)....tropical plant, good idea, too!

I like the idea of the deep chocolate brown for a tablecloth or runner, dark wood candlesticks and a sort of tropical plant. Some amber colored stemware and lots of gold accents. Could be very elegant!

Then I also like the idea of a jungle table with some elephants, tigers, and yes, even monkeys! LOL

I am a huge fan of animal prints so of course I love your chargers! There are many different styles that go with those and you've received good ideas already.

Another way to go which would be a very masculine table for your DH ;-) would be sort of Indiana Jones meets Ralph Lauren. In the link below it shows leopard print with neutral pillow and leather. I wonder if there's such a thing as brown leather placemats? They'd really set off the leopard chargers - or are they cheetah, I never remember the diff? Beige or cream dinner plate and a darker salad plate with a design. Use whatever you have or find in leather in the centerpiece - a leather box would be good along with some faux cedar, and something wood. Not too rustic. Jeanne's dark wood pedestal would be good! :-)
