Here's hoping the day ends up better than it started.
I've had those types of days, and after a nice cup of tea, some deep breathing and possibly an early night, things will get better!

Oh my goodness, Lynn...what a load of (ahem) you've had to cope with. Apparently you've managed somehow to keep your sense of humor tho! Sitting down and crying (yelling or screaming) sounds like a perfectly good idea to me! Enough is enough!
I sure hope things get back on track and give you a breather for a good long while. And here we all were piling in the Holiday bus to come have breakfast and asking you to fix eggs other ways. LOL. Now there was a load of stress for you.

(((Lynn))) I can so empathize with you because I've lived long enough to know firsthand that life is just a series of mountains and valleys. We so enjoy the mountain peaks but the valleys not so much. Hope this is the last of the bad things for you. Wonder how the stars are aligned this month? ;-)

I remember having a week like yours once and I casually said aloud, as I was walking down the hall (I remember it vividly), "OK, God, what else can you do to me?" Well, He decided to take me up on my challenge, and teach me a lesson. So be careful!

I feel for you...it's hard when things come at you one after
another and you feel you're sinking lower and lower.
I think we've all been down that unpleasant road... but
I have to say, that while reading all that you went through.
I got the feeling that by you putting it all
down in words, you were 'Lifting It Off Your Shoulders'
which managed to help you feel somewhat better and find some humor in it all.
That was good 'Self Therapy'. I read once that it helps to do that. Because even if you're not actually speaking to someone about it...it does help to get your feelings out, to help you cope.
Just think that in a short time..this will be all behind you..it's 'Stuff That Happens'..like it or not.
You will be able to look back at this terrible episode and actually laugh at it all. Luckily,
we have the ability to do that.
Now I'll give you MY Prescription to help you....
Eat some Chocolate...and have a Glass Of Wine!

Sad to say this is about how our new year has started off, not so much things in the house wrong but health wise with a few family members. It's like we never get a break.

The reason I haven't been around much & probably won't be doing any Valentine table unless things get better quick!

Well, bless your heart, Lynn, you sure have had one heck of a month! Why is it that things don't just come at us one at a time? Just like in your case, they seem to pile up on us from time to time. Maybe it's a test to see just how much we can endure, do you think? While I was reading your tale, I was thinking "OMG, what else is going to happen?"

Well at least you can tick off a few things that are already fixed again, and you only have to concentrate now on the few things that are left.

I have one of those "do it yourself" husbands too--problem is that it often takes a long time to get him started on the project.

I take back my request for scrambled eggs--I just have the tortillas and your homemade chilli sauce--no need to go to any special trouble at all for me. ;o) Now just go put your feet up and relax.

Ooo, yachter, I don't like to hear about health issues. I just had a mini check-up this morning and am holding my breath concerning the results of all the tests. (I feel just fine, by the way. It was all very routine.)

Lynn, just wanted to pass on my hopes and wishes that things turn around for you! It might sound mean but it was interesting reading your post (you were great at describing everything, bad as it was) and at the very least, you made those of us who have things going "normally" right now, APPRECIATE it! Take some time to wallow in self-pity - it helps! (just don't let it go on TOO long!)

Awwww, thanks for all your sweet wishes, they are MUCH appreciated! Yesterday was a tough day, but I took your advice and brewed myself a pot of tea, read lots of posts, saw many great decs here and then took a long nap. DH got back here early and we drove down to pick up my car. The new battery was a no-charge, but the brake job ~just on the front end~ was over $400! Living here in the mountains, I can't scrimp on good brakes, but good grief, that's a ridiculous amount! (Sigh) what's done is done and my car (actually, minivan) is in great shape once again. Afterwards, DH & I had dinner at a favorite restaurant in town to avoid the rush hour traffic and relax a bit. We had a glass of wine and played Gin Rummy for an hour when we got home, too. That was a lovely way to end a crummy day!
With the rest, I'm doing as you advised and taking it one day at a time. All this will pass . . . eventually! Thanks!

Thanks, dining_delight. I hope things get better too... especially before Ground Hog Day! I deliberately changed a doctor appt from Feb 2 to ANYTHING ELSE. Who wants to repeat THAT?! lol!
