Oh Linda, I wish I could be there to put my arms around you and give you a big "oh poor baby." Sympathy doesn't fix anything but it helps you feel a bit better. So does whining!

I am most sorry that Frank is not doing well. I truly hope he will gradually improve.

Yes, in this economy we can't be too choosy about jobs. I guess you have to count your blessings that you found another with the number of hours that you need.

Wow, your daughter sure had bad timing. My friend badly sprained her ankle playing tennis before her daughter's big fancy wedding. She had to walk down the aisle wearing a big boot on her foot. Lovely. Maybe your daughter could get away with some sort of less conspicuous supporter for the day. What a shame, but sprained ankles can turn around quickly. I've had some doozies and usually could walk fine within a week.

And the dog. That's a shame. Poor thing.

Just hang on -- things have got to get better. Maybe once the pressure of the wedding is over, things will seem more manageable.

I had a very hard time when my old Bassett Hound would get sick. I felt so helpless and he did too! Hopefully MoJo will be better in a short time and that will be one of the things you can remove from the list.

Poor Erin! I, too, hope that she will have a stronger ankle come wedding day.

I'm so sorry that Frank is not doing well. I know you will cherish the time you have left with him.

A new job and the anxiety that goes along with that are stressful enough without having everything else going on.

I have no doubt that Erin will dance at her wedding.

I do have a couple of ideas for Mojo that might help. You might try to elevate his food and water bowls. Every time he bends his head down he is experiencing extreme vertigo, so the less that he has to bend down, the better. I have also used feeding tube syringes to get fluids down before. You can also liquefy his food and get it into him with the syringes. Just a little at a time on his tongue.

That is horrible Linda. I just wish I could take some of it off of you. Keegan kitty would eat and drink when I lifted bowls after he got the disorder that made it hard for him to hold his head up. I think he couldn't manipulate his head to the bowl until I did that. We should take you out for a girl's night out (until Jim, Lars, and Lou show up, then it'll just be a night out). How about a break for one lil' ol' night?

I think I'll go visit Frank tomorrow. I do want to see him before we leave for the wedding. He so wanted to go, but $hit happens. I just hope he is well enough that mom feels she can go for a couple of days. His kids are nearby, so I am hoping. But if she doesn't, we'll all understand.

Praying that Mo doesn't have an attack of the CVD while our house-sitters are here. I am going to call and explain it to them, plus the neighbors know what is going on and I am leaving their numbers for them.

Frank is doing better, we saw him yesterday and he can now carry on a conversation. His prognosis at this point is still only a matter of months, tho.

Mojo is not doing well at all. It seems to be getting worse. I wish I did not have to leave.... Going to wait until we get home to take him to the vet because I am afraid the news will be bad and there is nothing we can do about it until then anyway. I talked to the neighbor and they will be around if our house-sitters need help.

Erin is doing fine....she's not even nervous! LOL Peppi, she told me to tell you to "absolutely" crash the reception! LOL

Oh Linda, I feel for you! Our beloved Zeke was so ill the week before DD's wedding and I was going nuts. I took him into the doc when an abscess developed on his leg,and they kept him at the vet for a few days so that I had some peace of mind while I was so busy. He did come home afterwards. Consider that as an option too.

We ended up taking Mo to the vet this afternoon. It was so painful to watch him stumble around. She is still pretty sure its Vestibular Disease, tho. Everything else checks out just fine except he has lost 6 lb. in the last two weeks.

She did prescribe an antibiotic just in case there is an inner ear infection that she can't see. I called Joe, the young man that will be taking care of the house and the dogs over the weekend. He's cool with everything. I also signed an authorization at the vet just in case Joe feels there is a need to bring him in during our absence.

A lot has been going on for all of my family the last couple of weeks. I hope that all of us can just go to the wedding, relax and enjoy ourselves. A few cocktails will help with that, I am sure. The rest is in the hands of some higher being.....

I'll check in after the weekend!
