Sometimes I wonder if it's better to be a more hands-off buyer in the "what you don't know won't hurt you" category I'm thinking this is the case! :) It's just pee. Sure it seems disgusting that they peed on your house, but it's outside. It'll go away. Animals pee all over the place outside. The forest doesn't smell like a sewer. Humans are just animals. There isn't anything special about our urine. And then they peed in your toilet? Ummm ... isn't that what toilets are for? I'm sure when you have guests over to your house that you let them use the toilet. Is their pee cleaner than the worker's pee? At least with the worker's, someone else will clean the bathroom before you take possession. If your guests splash outside of the toilet, you're left cleaning it up. If you weren't visiting the site, these things would have happened and you wouldn't have known. You'd get your nice clean house in the end and you'd be happy and your health wouldn't suffer because there had been urine in the vicinity at some point in the past.

More than a month has passed since I updated this thread so here goes.... I had mentioned that I planned to write that letter to the other mother, but at this point I still have not done it. First, I want to make absolute certain that DD is still having contact with her, but have not been able to substantiate it as of yet. Of course I -know- their friendship remains intact, just no proof. It's not as often as it had... no where nearing being as often since she now has returned to seeing her other friends. DD attends a community college, going to the Gateway to College Program. This is a satellite campus with stores surrounding it. Her hours are 8AM to noon, and I take her and pick her up. One day last week she called and told me she had a ride home with another student. I told her fine, but still went to the campus anyway. After waiting awhile, I finally called her cellphone and she said she was on her way home... class had gotten out early. So, the next day I got the same call.. she was riding home with another student so I made sure I got there early. Saw DDas she was coming out the door and she stated that she was waiting for the other student to finish up. I pulled off, circled around and came back. Just 8 parking spaces from the campus door sat the other mother. This is what I had been expecting. So, I got out of my car, asked her where DD was, she asked me how the "f" was she suppposed to know. Well, I was livid and got in my car and pulled off, my phone ringing. Of course it was DD, mad because she saw me go to the other mother's car. And I can not prove that the other mother was there to pick up DD. Anyway, DD ended up riding home with me. Hasn't called to tell me she was riding with another student. If I get one of those calls, I'll be checking up. It's not time to back down yet. Other than that, things are going fair. She comes home on time, goes to school daily, makes all her counseling sessions. But, I never know where she is when she's gone during the day. I have not been successful in getting her to check in with me. This is something she will answer to her PO for.

I worked for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years. Social Security does a hell of a lot of good. I know personally because Medicare pays for my kidney dialysis. If anyone is worried about waste and fraud, you can report it by calling 1 800 772 1213 or going online on www SSA gov and look for the "report fraud" button, leading to the Office of the Inspector General. Examples of fraud would be someone buying or selling Social Security cards, working while disabled (a guy who collects Disability who can cut his lawn and play golf doesn't count), not reporting a death and cashing that person's Social Security checks afterwards, and receiving mothers/father checks for a child under 18 who doesn't have custody are examples. And don't blame Seniors or Social Security employees for the cheaters.

I see social media as an "addition to", not an "instead of". I love texting, I have very poor hearing, especially on the phone, so texting is a blessing for me. I'm not apt to misunderstand what someone is saying, and no one is subjected to repeated requests to repeat something. It's also convenient. I can send a text when the thought hits me, knowing that the recipient can answer at their convenience. Same with receiving a text. My family, friends and I used email the same way before we all had smartphones. One sentence thoughts and ideas are sent as they come up. One doesn't usually make a phone call or write a letter to communicate a short thought. So for me, emails and texts have increased contact with others, not decreased it. I love Facebook! I also have a Twitter account and an Instagram account. I honestly can't remember the last time I looked at Twitter, don't care for it. I do look at Instagram occasionally, mostly to see pictures family and friends have posted. Pictures I probably wouldn't get to see otherwise. But I drop in on Facebook for a few minutes several times a day. I enjoy the jokes that are passed around, I like the news updates I find there, I've gotten several good recipes there. I even enjoy some of the political postings. And last, but certainly not least, I enjoy the brief glimpses into the loves of family and friends that I probably wouldn't get otherwise. It keeps distant family members and friends and I up to date with each other. There are several whom I probably would have completely lost contact with without social media. Does all this make me (or my friends and family) selfish, or self centered? Absolutely not! And I kind of feel sorry for those that think it does. You have no idea what you're missing out on! So many ways to expand your life! And for the record, I am another "Old Fogie", getting mighty close to the big eight oh mark. And ready to use and enjoy whatever new life adventure my limited physical abilities allow me to use. Yes, I love social media and am very glad it came into being during my lifetime! Rusty
