Please share pics of your kids/guest bathroom.

In addition to continuing our kitchen update this year (I've been posting a bit on the kitchen forum), we will also be remodeling our boys bathroom within the next few months. They are 3 and ~5. We want do something that is neutral enough for guests and cute enough for boys/kids. So I would love to see your kids bathrooms or your guest bathrooms. Thanks so much!

Right now it has white builder porcelin square tiles (wall and floor), white tub, big ballet mirror, off white sink/counter combo, shiny silver hardware and movie star lights over the sink (hollywood lights) and double oak vanity that was painted Ralph Lauren Old Violin (dark espresso brown). Tub is rusted (scratched horribly) from previous owners the bathroom is need of an update. Not sure what I want yet though. I had a chance to start this remodel this month (Jan) but I am not ready. We will have someone replace the tub and retile the shower area, my mother-in-law and I will do the rest of the demo/remodel as the year goes on (except for sink hookup and toilet).

It's hard to get a good pic but our kids bath/guest bathroom is 5 feet wide and about 9 feet long including the bath tub. We had the white builder porcelain square tiles, resurfaced tub but instead of oak it was a white laminate cabinet and a 1950's light fixture that could give your Hollywood lights a run for the money. My kids are the same age as yours and so far they love the changes. We've had some great discussions about when to use 60 minutes, 30 minutes or 20 etc. with the fan timer switch:) Having the shower niche to keep the bottles off the ledges of the tub and the thermostatic valve (keeping the temperature constant) have probably been the biggest day-to-day improvement. It was so nice not to get complaints that the water was cold when I was rinsing hair and the Grohe Movario "Champagne" setting is perfect for rinsing hair. We opted for Silestone countertop which should hopefully be low maintainence.

Fairytale, I set out to measure the tub for you and then checked to see if I had a model name in my files. I just discovered that the tub we were supposed to get is bigger. Argh! Although, as my dh pointed out, I don't know how we could have gotten a bigger one without rearranging the entire bathroom layout. From end to end, the tub is 58"x 30" but inside where you sit down it measures 46"x18". My girls are 6 and 7 and love to take baths together. I thought they would be into showers by now, but they still love to play in the tub. It's VERY difficult to fit them both in there. I usually give in and let them use mine. Make sure yours is big enough for an adult to use. Try not to think of it only as a kids tub. At least, that's the lesson I learned. :c(

jyyanks, Love your tile too. I don't know how much a square foot but maybe cheaper in cost than glass my girlfriend is looking for tile. Blue bathroom paint color? Please share your pics.

Not much help, but I am convinced that blue is the hardest color to choose. Why? Because it exists in so many shades. I agree that you should go to the paint store, but don't rely solely upon tiny chips. Once you choose your paint, buy a bitty can and paint a big swatch on your wall -- it's just paint, and if you're unhappy, it's an easy fix. Yes, it adds another step, but often colors look different when you see "the whole picture".
