the bosch s/s is very close and looks good next to f&p s/s and bosch double ovens are very nice two they are both euro convection ovens i have 5 of them in hte obsolete 700 series too and the hole has to be like 28 inches wide openening in the cabinet not over 30 ...so if you want doubles they are very nice priced too or if you decide to ge with single great price as well ...both should fit in generic opening they all vary a bit in size but all cover about the same size holes...not all will fit though but most should .... below is a link to installation instructions for bosch and on page 7 it tells you what size hole it needs to be hope i was of some help TYSEN Here is a link that might be useful: link to bosch single and double range installation instructions

Hi, Redhead. We've had ours for a month or so, so not a long history. We like it so far, even though we are still learning where things go-- I didn't realize how ingrained the tracks in my brain were until the 20th time I found myself standing in front of an open fridge wondering if the milk went on the right door or the left one... We had almost no choice in fridges if we did not want to rip out a wall of cabinets. I had no idea that refrigerators had grown so tall in recent years, but apparently they have. The guys at the appliance store told us they sell a lot of F&P to people in Seattle with old houses for that very reason. A friend of mine did the same, only she chose the single door rather than french door. She is happy with it as well. I just hope they hold up over time-- too soon to tell.

I am NOT saying that this is a bad thing, but F&P has been in increasing financial difficulty over the last few years. Chinese appliance giant Haier, who had a 20% stake in F&P since the 2009 downturn, just won majority control of F&P with the next four largest shareholders agreeing to sell their stake to Haier. This gives Haier 51.6% of F&P. It remains to be seen what effect this will have long-term on F&P's manufacturing and quality control. Well, obviously I don't have this one, but here's what I remember from looking at it (all to be taken w/ grain of salt since this is based purely on memory!)---not sure there is anyone floating around GW that I've heard of who has the FD model! 2. Is it necessary for you to open the doors past 90 degrees in order to roll out the crisper bins (if so, how far)? Or do the crisper bins help push open the doors? Probably. It is with the single-door model and I'm 99% sure they're the same crisper bins, so I imagine it's true for this too. However, you can get into the single-door bins with a 90 degree opening---you just can't take them out. 5. Do you have to open/close the doors in a certain order? (eg, always close the left hand side before the right or it won't seal, etc.) I think this is one of the fridges that you can do either way (where the center flap folds), but might be misremembering that. If I think of it I'll check the next time I'm at a showroom. 6. Can you fit two half-gallon cartons of milk on ONE of the bottom door shelves? Pretty sure you can but did not test it. Gallon containers fit. 7. Where do you put a carton of eggs? While the FD doesn't come with the same little egg holder that the single-door has, I think the upper door bins are the same size, so probably eggs would fit there? That's what I imagined when I looked at it, at least. 8. How hard is it to pull open the freezer? (With some other models, I have to literally brace myself.) Average, I think, given that I don't remember it being an issue one way or the other (as I do with some of the other FD fridges we looked at). It seemed more substantial than the freezer door o the single-door model. 9. When you pull open the freezer, does the top shelf slide out automatically, or if not is it easy to slide yourself? Just the main shelf comes out---you have to reach in and open the ice area and other shelf separately. Don't know if you can lock them on or off as you can with some fridges, but I don't recall seeing that feature. Not sure how much that helps...good luck!
