I have two IKEA bathroom vanity/sink setup, both are the ceramic version. One is about 5 years old and has started to show signs of age, there is a hairline crack on the surface of the sink! Just wondering if others have the same issue. What are your thoughts on the durability if IKEA ceramic sinks? How about the polymer/crushed marble version? Are those better? I understand that they have a 10 years warranty, however, it is not fun to rip out a sink and get it replaced within the 10 year warranty period... eh? I have also used IKEA faucets with them, I would not recommend. They are not well constructed as compared to the big brands (Kohler, etc). They leak ever so slightly that it leaves oxidation around the handle area. I would like to solicit your thoughts on them. Thanks!

The Blanco Silgranit sinks in the non-white colors are super durable. I have had them in two different kitchens, always the Super Single and always in the anthracite color which is a rich black. It's easy care and shows nothing. I do not recommend the Granite composite white sinks. That's because I love my Silgranit anthracite sinks so much, I recommended it to my friend. She heard my enthusiasm, and bought one for her kitchen, but she bought it in the white color. She finds it very hard to keep looking clean. She showed me how easily the white stains from coffee and wine, and also how difficult it is to keep looking clean and get those stains out. I feel terribly guilty. I had no idea the white color would behave so differently from the anthracite. After seeing first-hand my friend demonstrate the easy staining and the difficult cleaning of the white color, I cannot recommend it. I would absolutely though buy another in anthracite without hesitation.

I know OP has moved on but I saw this bathroom in a real estate listing yesterday and thought of this thread. And worth every penny. The amount of time it took to get to that finish, and I can see it from an interwebby picture, is considerable. I install some $169.00 Chinese brushed stainless steel sinks that are fine functionally, but nothing compared to that beauty.
