Are Kraus brand stainless steel sinks good?
Comments (4)I hope they are good since we will have Kraus main sink and prep sink. Most of the reviews I have seen people seem to be really happy with their sinks....See MoreAdvice on Franke Cube stainless steel kitchen sink
Comments (9)We are putting in sea pearl quartzite (more gray than most slabs), white subway tile, white shaker style cabinets, and hardwood floors. Our sink will be undermount, not with an apron. The white fireclay undermount would definitely look better than stainless but we are worried about chipping and cracking. We may choose stainless steel since it is more practical. (We have kids!) Appliances and hood are all stainless steel. I know Franke is a good brand, but I have not seen any reviews of the Cube style. Hopefully all Frankes would perform the same in terms of noise and drainage? I may be overthinking this!...See MoreBest brand for stainless steel kitchen sink
Comments (18)As stated above, Franke makes terrific sinks. Have had mine almost four years now. The corners have rounded cutouts so it’s easy to chase bits of food, into the drain. Mine has an offset center drain, meaning it’s in the center rear of the sink, so large pots or pans don’t cover it. With any stainless sink, I recommend getting a stainless rack, which will help avoid scratching, and raises the dirty dishes, and allows the water to drain. Most have racks that are made for a particular sink. I got my Franke grid on Amazon....See MoreAny stainless steel kitchen sink haters changed mind & now like it?
Comments (34)Yes, silverlined, I don't want to spend the money that people put into the very high end sinks. But, I am definitely willing to spend more than the typical sink costs. This is a small, condo townhouse kitchen and not a huge family house. I know what the place can carry as far as investment into the kitchen. I appreciate all of the very diverse comments and am now at the point where I have decided some of the function over form advocates are perhaps correct. I will (probably) go with whatever material comes in the sink configuration I want--another huge dilemma because I don't just want a standard single basin sink and am instead looking for a drainboard or a work station configuration that is less than $1000. Thanks all....See MoreLorie Nieva
