Spa/Hot BathTub Water Garden
Comments (21)Hello I'm new to the site. I have been given a hot tub and i am trying to figure out how to turn it into a fish pond It cracked over winter so I'm just going to seal it.. It works ... So can I use the jets and it has a little built in waterfall ???I know the jets are powerful so I would have to find a way to weaken them.... Any ideas.... I would like to use as much as the original hot tub as possible ....See MoreAh! Tubs! Too many choices! Heated tub shell? MTI Andrea, anyone?
Comments (8)> We would love a tub that allowed us to face the same direction as well as each other, but in terms of freestanding tubs, that just doesn't really seem to be an option. Now this is more like it: It's freestanding (though I don't care for this particular surround) and the backrest is what I find the ideal shape for two people side by side, with good back and shoulder support for both. Most tubs with this shape are like 5 feet wide which is not what I want; this one is just wide enough for two. The taper at the other end helps preserve water without getting too crowded, but is still wide and sloped enough to lean against when you want to face opposite directions. Still, it's the side by side configuration I like best. Two-person tubs where you face each other look great in pictures and in the showroom. Then you use one in real life only to find you have to SCREAM AT EACH OTHER to be heard over the roar of the jets. Although air jets may be a bit quieter than the water jets I've used. I could do without the huge ledge at the end of this tub though - what's that all about? I too can't find a tub that gets everything right....See Moretub surround for over sized tub
Comments (2)Ameriwall has a tub surround with a 72" back wall. It can be cut down for a smaller tub. Might be others, that's the first one I found. 7230TA...See MoreWindow over Master Bath Tub
Comments (8)We only have space for a very small window, but it beats no natural light at all. Ours will be very small and clear glass because there's no way anyone is seeing into it, but for the other bathrooms that don't have so much privacy I'm going to use an obscure glass similar to the "Minster" pattern in the link. I wish I could fit a full-sized window, I would go with clear glass and sheers. To be honest, I could find happiness in just about anything that wasn't glass block. Sometimes I feel like the only person alive who can't stand that stuff. Makes me feel all Miami Vice-ish, like I need to don a white silk pant suit and peach cami. I tend to think it doesn't get more timeless than "plain old glass". You can always apply a treatment or film if you want something different without the commitment.
