I would like to go the induction route but...

I *really* want a griddle! Right now my front runner is a 48 in wolf with 4 burners and a double griddle. I think I'd use that thing all the time - eggs, bacon, pancakes, burgers, grilled cheese etc etc etc. Of course, my kids won't be young forever, so maybe I'd be doing less of that kind of cooking and more non-griddle cooking in the future? I don't know. Am I misguided in my griddle obsession? Is it worth missing out on induction?
