OK, I'm going to try this...but first a few questions

I want to make a trough as my first project, I'd like to do one that's a decent size. (I saw great troughs at the botanical garden in the Bronx last year and have been wanting to do this ever since.) I saw in your FAQ section that it's possible to buy a premade mix. I think that's a good way to start. Is it called QuickCrete (or something like that)? What type of store do I find it in? To make a trough that's maybe 24" tall, 36" long and 24" wide...I'm just pulling these #s out of my head...how many bags would I need to buy? I was thinking of using a Rubbermaid storage container as a mold. If I make this outside does it have to be protected incase of rain during the curing period? Any other suggestions? Maybe I'll start this weekend.
