Anyone import their induction hob and/or gas dominos?

OK, just when I thought I was done & had made a decision....

I was in the finished kitchen blog just perusing photos when I came across someone a few year ago who said she imported her induction hob for a total of $800 including shipping, customs, etc. So I had to explore that and sure enough, I went on some UK websites to find much greater selection - especially if you want dominos. I saw induction wok dominos, gas dominos, and all sorts of interesting products not available here but from companies that sell here or parent/subsidiary selling here. And the prices were A LOT less.

So...have any of you done this successfully?

Is there anything I need to know about checking the voltage/amperage or any other electrical issues? Would a two-burner gas domino be the same as one here in terms of specs and installation?

I understand probably no warranty, but I would assume a Bosch induction repair person here would still know how to repair if need be??

Could you buy a third party warranty?

Anything to know about the process and any dealer you recommend?

I have sent an email to AEG CS (electrolux) to ask about the service issue and will post here anything that I learn.

After this, I am really done!
