Duel fuel or all gas??? Capital, blue star, ilve, American range?
Comments (1)There is a difference in evenness in the oven of a $1k gas range and a good $4.5k range. I don't think there is a meaningful difference in the baking ability of the Capital gas oven and the typical electric even in pro-style range. The Wolf electric oven is atypical. You can bake three full racks and have consistent results. But the burners are not so great. Mediocre in this class. Can a Culinarian oven make a soufflé? See link below. Comments (93)Hello! something strange haooened to me and i wanted to see if anyone had insight. I had worked with an Ilve consultant (out of New Jersey) at the begininng of the year to quote out an Ilve Nostalgie 48inch range. I chose Ilve over Hallman mostly because I had heard bad things about Hallman’s customer service. Well personal stuff came up and we had to post-pone our kitchen renovation to 2022, when i went to contact the Ilve rep to finally complete my order I received an OOO/maternity leave email bounce back. Not a big deal (congrats to her!) but the sales phone number her OOO email provided was answered by someone who answered as ”Hallman.” Are they now the same company? Also the price went up $2,000 from January.. crazy!...See MoreIlve Range reviews
Comments (4)@Denise Meyer I have "had" my Hallman for 2.5 years but it sat in my garage for a full year until our major reno/addition was reno. I have been using it daily (multiple times some days) for 1.5 years, and it's fabulous! I ordered directly from Hallman in TX. Their staff was very helpful with any questions etc. The service company listed on Hallman's website at the time of order, actually didn't want to help me. I found 2 local high end appliance repair companies, and both said that these ranges are quite basic and easy to work on. When I needed both ovens calibrated, Hallman walked the repair tech through the manual process...he didn't think that it could be done :) So,in my case, nothing but good stuff!...See MoreFulgor Milano, Fisher Paykel or Ilve 36" Induction Range
Comments (18)@Lee M, when you refer to cleaning the oven door glass, do you mean you have to take the door apart and glass panels out to clean between the panels? I have to do this on my old Kenmore Elite electric range (electrolux)., and it is a PITA! I looked at a oven door in the gas version, though I want induction, and I could see where spillage from liquids could get in between the panes of glass. Is that the case? thanks because that may help me decide on my next range....See Morerococogurl
