I've carefully read the posts in Diane's link " I'v Had It!-Spraying Pesticides for Rose Midge." There is much discussion about "drenching the soil because that's where midge pupates" The thing that I haven't found addressed is whether Merit drench (or granules) is more effective because it systemic and, might kill the critters as they feast on the tender new shoots, thereby stopping their life-cycle. Does anyone support this theory. If this is the case, then one wouldn't have to worry about constantly drenching the mulch and soil beneath to come into direct contact with the insect, because the Merit would already be in the plant's system ... killing the critters. Nor would one have to spray. BTW, I had a brutal couple of months with midge last season, that I treated with everything every few days and eventually knocked the midge down. I'm hoping to be more proactive and use far less chemical this year. I've put down Merit granules and will be watching closely.

Very Good Points! I need to check into the Home Warranty since I am slowing and have done most repaird not insurance related in the past. I even replaced approx 20â if 2â cast iron plumbing until it was back to close to new thickness. From the kitchen sinkâÂÂs clean-out to almost center of the garage. I feel was due to shifting foundation, settled cast pipe and not flushed good when chemicals vs a Roto-Rota cleaned. A 1â bottom section was out about 3â before a total block at a Y to washer before traveling on thinner to the 4â pipe. The total block was bypassed creating a washout and pool that reentered past the block. Deceiving since I knew the pipe was draining by watching at the Ext clean-Out. The Tell Tale was when my Rota Rota came back with dirt mixed with grease/grime. I needed to talk to the wife of 42 yrs now on what should go into the garbage disposal vs trash after I had to reconnect it with a reduced strainer to keep it from smelling. LOL! A Camera Tech came with his camera and it fell through the bottom and his retriever w/n bring it back into the pipe. With his detector he could show me the exact location of the camera under the frig. He said I would have to call a plumber to retrieve it and he would return for an additional 100.00 on top of the original 250.00 (and he had traveled 10â of just over 50â to reach the 4â pipe. He was probably just a few miles away before I drill üâ holes in a 6â dia and popped a hole in the floor with a sledge and put the camera back in the pipe. I wanted to save him a trip and me some additional money. He came back for the camera but said the camera was not working well (Black & White) and he would come back when he got his new color equipment at no extra charge. Six months and six letters he came back with some nice color equipment. The repair and additional pipe looked good as far as it could go. The pipe was still draining but it became like a clogged artery with grease. If I had known I could have cleaned that with 50% bleach/boiling water mix he had recommenced when cleaning the line. Cheap me! His new equipmentâÂÂs camera would scale the pipe at 2500 psi as it traveled for an extra charge. I declined as well on letting my Home Owner Ins into the matter due to the deductibles on accessing the plumbing. Repairing the floor as my gain on all vs them paying any plumbing repair and all has been well approx 10 yrs. This street was put in 1968 and 5 - 6 of 10 on this side of the street have worked this 2â line only using different methods. I punched 3 approx 16â dia holed to join 2â PVC sections under the sink, center or cabinet to frig walking area, under the frig and jack hammer a 6 - 8" trench in the garage under storage approx 10â and pipe appeared full thickness. Others went around their homes, approx 3 times original dist or tunnel or jack...

I`ve been married for 16yrs. it has been up and down all 16yrs. He always have been controlling, I had a 2yr. when we met and he wouldn`t even let her sit by me. When we got married he didn`t want my mom to help me get dressed. When I had our son he didn`t want her in the room, which I understand that one, everything is my fault. The last 3 yrs have been hell, I cheated on him 3yrs. ago and I crushed him he cried and cried he would get sick, that`s when the worst all started. He had an affair with a girl from our gym for 4 months. After that we got past it and renewed our vows then about 2 months later he started talking to another girl, then that stop. Well Aug. of 2008 he left me for a younger woman saying he was in love with her that she treats him like he always wanted me to treat him that he feels she really loves him. Yes I admit I wasn`t the perfect wife and somethings he says that I didn`t or did do are true about I don`t deserve this do I? He and the girlfriend got a place together in Feb. 09 he said he wants to come on and never does, well he does for 2 nights then goes back to her, he has done this twice now. Last weekend I told him I was moving on and I have a date, he told me not to go and if I did he will never come home, well I didn`t go and he came home and it`s been 3 nights now and he is still here, but when will he leave again, what am I dealing with here? Should I just let go and move on? I`m ready to if he won`t change, I mean he is still taking to the girlfriend. PLEASE HELP.

I'm new here, but I just have to comment on this post. As a woman who has been married three times, my input on this is, you are very young and obviously not ready to be married. You made a decision to be married because of the hype of forever romance we have crammed down our throats since we were little girls. Well, I have a good one for you. It doesn't happen all that often. I happen to be in one, which is very fortunate for me. But, generally, from my past experience, this just isn't the case. (My last marriage was for 10 and a half years. The last two we were separated.) You say you aren't happy. Have you asked him if he is happy? Does he love you or have you asked him this? He seems to want to do the right thing. As you said, things change for awhile, but then he's right back to doing the old stuff. My husband used to spend a lot of time with his friends-to the point where friends were asking why I was sitting home alone all the time. This went on for years, but I made a commitment to stay married for life, and I stuck to that. We just celebrated our 20th. Anniversary in August. If I had not hung in there, we would have been divorced a long time ago. Am I completely happy with my marriage? Heck no, and I don't believe anyone is. Does that mean I walk away from a good man, who loves me with all his heart and does his best to take care of me? NO. Why you ask would I stay in a marriage where I'm not completely happy? It's because, my dear, I made a commitment to my husband that I would stay with him through sickness and in health and in any financial situation. You know the rest. And I believe we have to keep working on our marriage. It doesn't come easy. As a matter of fact, marriage can be quite hard, but there are great benefits for when you get it right. I don't work either. So I feel it is my responsibility to take care of our home and my husband. I fix his meals, clean our home, and give him special attention. There isn't a day we don't hug and kiss one another. I also give him rub downs, and serve him his coffee when I wake him in the morning. He loves these special attentions. Have you ever just taken the time to do this for your husband? You say he doesn't want sex, even when you initiate it. Is it possible he just isn't all that interested right now? Maybe he's tired. Maybe he needs a nutritional boost or some other way to get his mojo back. We have the opposite problem. But did my husband leave me or cheat on me? NO. Not once! He also believes in commitment even though I have a physical problem that makes sex impossible. Why are we so committed? Because we believe what the Word of God says. We believe we are to stay married and work on our marriage no matter what the world throws at us or what physical problems may arise. Are you ready for that? Loving your spouse is a second by second, minute by minute decision. You decide to, unconditionally love that person, with the love of God. Eros love is fleeting. Agape love is unconditional and life lasting. This is how we have overcome the many obstacles that has faced us. Should you stay in your marriage? NO!!! You aren't willing to work on it. You haven't said anything about how he feels or what he wants, which tells me you are not ready to be in a committed relationship. So I say, you aren't willing to stay in this marriage because you feel lonely and ignored. So do most of the women in this day. A lot of people don't seem to understand marriage is a lifetime commitment, not just something you throw off like an old pair of shoes just because things aren't exactly as they imagine. Learn from this experience, and then when you make that commitment the next time, you will be ready and know it is the exact right thing to do. It took me three times to get it right. Don't let that happen to you. By the way, I'm 62 so I've been around for awhile and understand the nature of human behavior quite well. Best to you, my dear, in whatever you decide. But, ultimately, it is your decision. No one elses. No one can make it for you. You are you you have to live with.
