Old broken trash compactor alternative

Hello all,

I have an old broken under counter trash compactor that I would like to replace with a roll out trash bin that will fit exactly in the existing space.(maybe I'm dreaming) Why hasn't anyone invented a basic under counter trash bin that works the same way a compactor works, eg. with a foot pedal that opens the drawer,(thus no hands needed) but doesn't eat up extraneous space with the compacting mechanism and doesn't need an expert cabinet maker to retro-fit it into place? I just want a nice tall trash bin in that compactor space and don't want to spend a thousand bucks for a new one. Anyone got any ideas, or referrals? I think there's definitely a market out there for this kind of trash bin that can be marketed as a replacement for those useless compactors. I looked into those wine stewards that fit into the space, but I'd still rather have the trash bin there. Any thoughts?

Thanks a bunch.
