help with fridge/freezer please
Comments (4)I have the Electrolux Icon all fridge (2 of those) and 1 all-freezer. (Electrolux is the parent company of Frigidaire, who also makes the Kenmore). They aren't big, but I've had full depth fridge/freezers and these give me more room with more accessible reach and better visibility. Cu ftage measurements don't tell you much unless its 'usable cubic feet,' and I think counter-depth, plus good organization (which might vary from Frigidaire to Kenmore to Electrolux because of different features) helps the usability. You'll want to compare the different names, in person if possible, to see which of those has the shelf options, bins, etc. that best suit your mother-in-law's needs. By the way, we have 2 of the fridges, because we have 8 kids. It's rare, even in our house that both fridges are completely full at the same time, so 1 would probably serve most more modest sized households pretty well. The freezer, if she's used to a full size freezer, might be smallish....See MoreFrigidaire/Electrolux twins, what size cabinets?
Comments (22)OK..show and tell :) Here is mine... freezer:door has mostly my spices in pint jars. Keeps them fresh for years unlike room temp. Also the white bin you see on shelf below icemaker is a dishpan :) Used for my specialty baking stuff so I just pull it all out at once. fridge: drawer is on the left midway up...we use it for all out cheese. Rarely have meat. Note we have 2 drawers on the bottom of the fridge. That is all. Rest is shelves. Suits me as I don't need more drawers. I use the wide shelves to retard my huge trays of sourdough breads....See MoreElectrolux or Frigidaire full fridge/full freezer Help!
Comments (13)We had our Frigidaire pair for over 5 years. Per GW advice I bought the 4 year warranty which turned out to be a good buy as the freezer has needed repairs once. No issues with the fridge. We are a family of 4 and love love our twin pair. I have both in my kitchen and love the convenience of not having to think about what I can fit in the fridge. I buy a lot of fresh vegies and it keeps them along with plenty of room for drinks and lunches. I am currently doing a remodel where I designed one wall to contain the twin pair. I have the Thermador gas range, an Electrolux dishwasher, a Miele steam combi oven and a Miele convection oven. No they don't all match but I am one to cook in my kitchen and figure that the next owner will replace them all anyways....See MoreFrigidaire All Fridge/Freezer Availability.
Comments (676)@Green Olives My ice maker has been not working for a while, had it replaced under warranty, still not working. Had a repair guy out and they pulled codes off of the freezer and he said there's nothing that can be done to fix it. He suggested turning off the freezer and letting it thaw to see if it would make ice again. Lo and behold, it did, for about a month. Something in the line is freezing and causing it to stop functioning. For sure a faulty design by Frigidaire. Can you please provide a little more info about what you did to thaw out your line? Maybe a few photos of the exact areas? Thanks...See Morefouramblues
