Help! Which cycle with Miele DW Conditioner?
Comments (5)aaaargh--I didn't see your post before running the machine! Thank you for replying though!!! I am running it on Normal cycle now. Figured Normal might be what the instructions call Standard. I was tempted to use Pots and Pans, or even Sani(tary), but didn't. :( I will run a couple of Rinse and Hold cycles afterward though--good idea. If you don't use the entire bottle, do you get the full effect of the conditioner? Any added benefit, or contraindications to using it every month? We've never cleaned or conditioned our MIele (have had it/been using it almost 6 years now), so a full bottle's worth probably a good idea, at least this first time. It certainly was inexpensive enough (Amazon), especially if it were to be used only a few times a year....See MoreRe. Miele DW drying: comparing Optima to La Perla
Comments (15)theresse, I've just been told via eMail that no Miele dishwasher other than the LaPerla and Excella has the Sensor Wash! I cannot believe this! Practically every modern Miele dishwasher in Europe has at least one Sensor cycle - middle- to top-of-the-line models even two. Very strange decision on Miele's part to take them off on most of their US machines. Mindstorm, the dishwasher takes in ambient air via the fan located at the bottom of the unit. This air is channeled upwards and around the heat exchanger where it cools the condenser. In turn, the air absorbs heat - heat is exchanged. The warm air is vented through slits in between the control panel and the counter and thereby warming it. When the door opens, the counter is a) warmed, so condensation won't form and b) the fan continues to blow air through the slits and thereby forcing the humid air that's expelled from the tub away from the counter. Fauguy, every model with CleanAir drying has the two vents on the right side of the tub. The diamante has CleanAir drying, according to the web site. Indeed, the opening on the left side is the water inlet. Water running into the tub. Here's a picture of the condenser taken from service docs. Comments (14)Oh, I LOVE Rosenthal Magic Flute. Here's an article in putting sterling in the dishwasher. Bottom line is that it is ok, if you're careful about a few things. I have also always been told not to put sterling knives in the dishwasher, not just because of the resin, but because the handles are silver, but the blades are stainless and so they heat up at different rates and things can go bad. (How's that for specific and scientific?) I assume that wouldn't apply if you don't have heated dry, but I'd check with someone who knows. Even without heated dry, it gets pretty hot in there. Here is a link that might be useful: Putting sterling silver in the dishwasher....See MoreCan't adjust door spring on Miele Futura Dimension DW (G 5675
Comments (5)Thanks, I guess that makes sense :-). So I should just put the screws back in and worry about adjusting it when we get the panel on? And now for another question - same dishwasher. I put the entire box of salt into the reservoir before I used it, but after the very first load, it said "refill salt" - does that mean something is set wrong?...See More- 15 years ago
