Your new June sure is loving it's new home! Heart and Soul looks good, too. I wonder if your teaspoons will have more elongated leaves being in more sun than the rounder ones I think happen in more shade? I'm not surprised to see the whites burning on High Society. It will be interesting to see what acclimates to more sun next year. I have one in sun that burns every year, and it just dawned on me to move it, lol. Ironically, it's Sun Power. It looks great in spring, which I suppose is why I've left it there, but it can't take the harsh sun we have by summer.

Wood doors/drawer fronts -- most Americans like wood, but it's not necessarily the "best". Research it and see how it applies to your situation. Soft-close hinges -- nice to have but not a "must have". In fact, it's far cheaper to make cabinet doors soft-close after the fact. In our case, they wanted $50/hinge for soft-close; we did it (DIY) for $3/door and it was a quick 5-minute (or less) easy job per door. Full-extension drawers -- I agree! Full-extension drawers allow you to see and access the entire drawer contents without scraping your knuckles! 😄 Soft-close drawers -- a "nice to have" but not a "must have". However, it's not as easy to make drawers soft-close after the fact as soft-close hinges, so if it's important to you, take that into consideration. Note that IKEA has soft-close drawers as standard. Drawer box construction -- dove-tail joinery is often said to be superior to other forms of joins, but I don't know whether that's true in all cases. I second the IKEA comment -- why not consider them? (Unless there aren't any within an hour or two of where you live.)

@arcy_gw thats the exact message the pop psyc book I mentioned discusses. That the people in relationships have different expectations of the roles that make a happy pairing. And the idea that trying over and over again to change other people’s behavior impacts you more than the person who won’t change doesn’t really involve judgement. Lastly, the point that relationships are not realistically “two people skipping through a field of flowers“ 100% of the time acknowledges the normal ups and downs. Which point do you disagree with? The idea of posing a framework for thinking is not radical or unusual. The constitution is a framework for our country. The Bible and Koran serve as frameworks for their followers. Building codes provide a framework for safe habitable spaces. In 2020 there was a great article in The Medium about the addictive nature of outrage. It’s a good read.
