ekscrunchy - If you upload your photos to Photobucket, there's a box on the right side of the screen that says "Share This Image". You can copy and paste the HTML Code line there into the body of a message and that should bring the pic across - when you preview your message you should be able to see it. jgs.. I did see that you have the OTR MW in your pland as well so thanks for chiming in. Similar situation in our primary home . 10 yrs with OTR MW-not vented-lots of steam going up the front of it! So I assume if we do go with one and vent it, it will be a nice improvement from what I am used to.Thx for the link too. Katsmah..the kids don't use it too much and it seems it is used more at times when I am not cooking (late night popcorn or just defrosting something) Re. the prep sink. I didn't have one in but now that I do, I can really see putting it to some use. Just feel in the summer and with having mutltiple families at the house, we will actually be doing more cold salads, fruit etc type of prep and griling. So I can see the prep sink being used more than MW in the summer especially. Ideagirl.. that's where I get torn I guess is the form vs. function. We keep getting caught up in adding things and then have to remind ourselves.. it is just a 2nd home not our primary, etc.. and yes the OTR MW has been fine 365 days/ yr so I imagine it will be just fine there too.

I think I've figured out that the red tile is your floor? And the gray stone is a SS? If so, I'm a little confused... you said those were things you've ordered. Are you using SS somewhere, or is that just what you would use if you could? It's beautiful; I love any SS but didn't use it for the same reason. I have heard here that leathered engineered quartz is difficult to maintain. Leathered granite, OTOH... For a long time I really thought we'd be going with quartz, but once I started looking at some of the granites, I knew that's what would work best for us. By that time I had also decided that I didn't like the polished look and wanted honed or leathered or whatever. We ended up with Impala Black leathered, which was about the same as the quote we got for Hanstone. Silestone was more, and Cambria probably would have been even more. It doesn't have any cream, just dark gray overall effect, probably in the same color family as a gray SS or JM, though I never saw that in person. If you take away the cream color of your 1st Cambria pic, that's about what you would have. It has been mistaken for SS in a photo. Overall it has been a breeze to keep looking nice (about two months). We did crack it this weekend by running the crock pot directly on it (fabricator didn't give us any hints about what to do and not to do, but they will fix it and bring us some trivets to put the crock pot on in the future). Otherwise, it seems pretty hardy, and definitely does not show stains from those things you listed. Not sure if that helps or if you are looking for suggestions of stones with some cream along with gray, but from what you said, it might fit.

Oh, he learned to pace himself 25 years ago with his first 4 heart bypasses at age 43. Breakfast is never a missed meal and he takes a break to do a blood sugar every 2 hours when he is working hard like this. Karen, the plans were discussed with the township, and this is allowed. It is the only option here as we have no storm sewers...the edge of the road is higher by about a foot than where the drain comes out and there is a shallow ditch between the road and the drain to channel run off water. It really doesn't seem right to me either, but the 'powers that be' say it is. A cute story that goes with this...A 9 year old next door neighbor boy (John was recently diagnosed with Aspergers Autism) when hearing of the upcoming dig that would start on Saturday, was really excited and announced that he was going to help with the digging. The start was delayed till Saturday afternoon due to DH's birthday breakfast out with DD and then we all did the Charity Heart Walk together. When we got home, there was a message on the answering machine from John wanting to know when the digging would start. He was waiting out in the yard with his shovel, a hoe and 2 12" inch rulers since 7 am! His Mother said that she couldn't keep him in the house, because he was sure that he would miss the whole thing if he went in. John did get to help. DH gave him a 5 foot strip to work in that was too tight for the tractor and he was delighted...for about 2 hours. It was hard work and his Mother said that is the longest he has stuck with anything that she could remember
