mice are eating my Romas

I have alot of mice in my garden. They eat bites out of alot of my bush beans, and now they're eating bites out of the Romas. I think its because the Romas grow so low to the ground. I can't bring myself to just cut out where they have been chewing and use the rest. Don't know how much things in saliva can move.

Any ideas on how I can keep them from doing this? Just like the beans, they don't just keep eating on one tomato. They take little bites out of many.

Are there any taller varieties of Romas? I really need these Romas for freezing. How can I outsmart those little boogers?

Maybe this was bad to do, but I picked all the orange ones I could and will finish ripening them inside. I was just afraid I'd lose them all, if I let them ripen on the vine.
