Wonderful!...Wish I could grow mulberries,...been trying for several years now, got two wild one's but keeps freezing back every winter.

I think those are good pictures. It looks like you set up the photograph like a studio with the pink drape. I don't notice mine on the suet so much. Maybe that is why they are the original cat and dog food stealers along with a wren. Pet food has fat in it. In this weather they all were taking it. I got 25 pounds of sun flower seed at Wal-Mart yesterday, the feed store wasn't opened on Sunday. I don't get much at Wal-Mart because I think it is cheaper at the feed store. I got 6 suet cakes but I like the ones at the feed store better.

I think I had a senior moment here! I took it from inside the kitchen, looking east. I used the zoom with Macro setting. I think it is the macro that blurs the background. I am cheating on the camera and not using the manual much. A sweet person on the Cooking Forum has posted a course on how to take inside food pictures. I am reading and rereading it and followed her suggestions for the bird pictures. The only thing is I can't control the light like you cant taking food photos. I have vowed to learn to use this darned camera beside pointing and shooting. She goes into all of the settings. I think they are listed on FAQ on cooking forum. Awesome! Love the finch pic. He looks mad at something. What kind of camera and lens do you have? And how far away were you to get waxwings???? They never let me get close at all.

Hi I have a Nikon D 5000 and the lens is a nikon 70 300
this is not a bush it is a tree and it is big not tall but wide I might have some winter picture of it will check and send it in or i will take a picture of the tree
also the birds are about 7 or 8 ft from me so I can zoom them in pretty near to me.
