the TRES fledge!(well at least the last two) It was so nice of them to still be here when I got home. What an interesting fledge....none of this coaxing out of the box and fluttering to the first tree. No hanging on with your toes for 20 minutes gathering up courage. Mom made a couple circles around the box. She was peping and they were peeping back. The next circle..... ZOOM out came a baby then ZOOM again out came the second and off up into the sky they went, no stopping in a tree just up up up and they were gone.....sniff sniff

Hi Lisa good for you! Mine seem to be thinking about it forever, TRES, not bluebirds. I swear they were peeking and teasing for 4 days and then I missed them!

Glad you got to see them zooming out!

Anita, they did lots of peeking the 2 days prior to fledging (maybe more I was not here) but when it came to fledge day they just waited at the hole and peeped loudly as if to say ok Mom I'm ready! There was no hesitation in the hole when Mom came zooming by they just took off like little Orca looking Jets! Zoom Zoom! CAUTION! I do want to say that Bet's site says the parents quit removing the fecal sacks at day 14. This is the second nesting that I witnessed fecal sacks being removed a day before fledging (day 18)so dont think you have more days to look in the box if the sacks are being removed,,,,you may not.

Pandy, I'm assuming you mean the one in Hamilton, Ontario. I saw alchymist there a couple of years ago and it was indeed wonderful. I was at the Montreal Botanical Garden last week and it too has a great rose garden. I was crawling around on my hands and knees smelling things and reading tags. Very high BTU for wok cooking and as importantly, very low and stable BTU for things like rice, sauces, etc. There are a few things that could be said about the somewhat elitist and quite defensive idea that a good stove is only useful for searing muscle fiber or stewing the marrow out of bones, but they wouldn't be very polite, nor would such an idea be taken seriously in restaurants that don't serve animal parts, of which there are many, even in the US.

Well DS said bring on the PINK PAINT...actually he wants to put a NIKE Swoosh on it but then I'd probably be arrested for copyright infringment so maybe I need to come up with a Lizzy swoosh! LOL...I really don't know how long I'll be wearing it...my next appt is in three weeks...and believe you me...I want this thing healed and this boot off so I'm wearing it 24/7 and walking with my crutches as little as possible... Janie...I sooo wish I was this tall..and you're right...I dug out a pair of clarks clogs with a little platform so I wouldn't walk all gimpy...knowing me trying to walk with that little bit of height with one leg shorter and I'll probably fall down and break the other one! Toni it has a pump and it blows up on either side to keep the ankle totally still...Get busy and make me a superstew cape! Marlin...ya wanna sign my shoe? hey maybe that's what I'll do...everyone signs a cast..why can't they sign a boot!!

Joan, How do you like the ergonomics of the XTi, it is one of the smaller DSLRs out there. On another forum someone caused an uproar because he said "more women will probably buy the XTi since it is smaller and women tend to have smaller hands, so they will be able to handle the camera better". He was blasted by the other member, called a sexist, bigot and all sort of other things. I didnÂt think he was trying to be rude, in fact his statement is the same thing my wife said when she held the XTi. Just wondering your thoughts on it. ZJoe
