Oh, my! I'm glad you went to the doctor. Sorry about the break and the cast. At least three weeks isn't a really long time (at least to me, since I had to wear my "air cast" for two months).

Stay off your foot, get lots of rest and let the guys wait on you! Hugs!

That is so "not" your style of footwear. I hope the 3 weeks goes by quickly and you heal completely.

Liz, you fashionista! Not everyone could carry off wearing a blue bootie, but you do it with panache. I can see a fashion trend starting here, as pekemom said. Will you still talk to us when you are rich and famous?

Soooo pretty!! I had a black one! =) Although, I would have LOVED 3 weeks (I know that doesn't help you!), I was in pain or the boot for almost 6 months! They couldn't find the fracture, another Dr. couldn't see it...5th Dr. said MRI..."OH LOOK, you have a fracture"! But it had started to heal wrong, so the boot hurt all the more...it was a wonderful time!! NOT! And it was the summer! Oy!

Hope you have a quick recovery with yours. Do yourself a favor and keep it on all the time and take it easy! It will go all the faster.

Oh, I like your color than the tacky brown/gray one I had years ago. A 1 inch heel on the other foot makes walking easier- the bottoms of those rolling casts sure add height! Consider keeping a pillow between your legs/feet, otherwise you may wake up with a giant bruise on the "good" leg.

Good luck and at least you do not have to wear it for 6 weeks or through a Georgia July or August!!!!

Well DS said bring on the PINK PAINT...actually he wants to put a NIKE Swoosh on it but then I'd probably be arrested for copyright infringment so maybe I need to come up with a Lizzy swoosh! LOL...I really don't know how long I'll be wearing it...my next appt is in three weeks...and believe you me...I want this thing healed and this boot off so I'm wearing it 24/7 and walking with my crutches as little as possible...

Janie...I sooo wish I was this tall..and you're right...I dug out a pair of clarks clogs with a little platform so I wouldn't walk all gimpy...knowing me trying to walk with that little bit of height with one leg shorter and I'll probably fall down and break the other one!

Toni it has a pump and it blows up on either side to keep the ankle totally still...Get busy and make me a superstew cape!

I am sooooo sorry you have to do this...sooo glad you can take that stylish shoe/boot off and give your entire leg a good scratch when you need to! You can shave...if you want to...lots of advantages! I know it is a PITA...time will make it better.

I have slipped on those sweet gums myself. We had them all over the nursery property and one of my favorite "shortcuts" was through them, down a slope to the back of the greenhouse. I wound up on my backside twice before I quit doing that!
