DA I used to buy my cheater glasses at Sams they come in like a 4 pack, very good quality and usually have a case and cleaning cloth with them, excellent price. I could then have a pair in all the rooms I normally would be reading in. Now that I have my bifocals I don't have to use them, but I have been known to put a pair of the cheater glasses over my real glasses when trying to read something impossibly tiny. Unfortunately for most of us that are in the category I am in lasik is out of the question. But the surgery they are now doing where they put a multi focal implant lens in the eye is a very viable solution, this is a surgery that has zero cuts in the visual area of the eye, makes only tiny cuts in the white area for a tiny lens to be implanted, takes generally one stitch closure. This is the surgery I am looking forward to. Much safer and fully reversible, very similar to the same surgery they have been doing for years for cataract patients. The beauty of it being multi focal means it takes care of those cheater glasses as well! All in one lens. It works!!!!!!! I haven't been this relieved since the hogs ate my brother. Just connected the Acer 23" to the DC7600. Screen resolution is 1152 X 864. Whole screen is filled. Got the old 1999 Belkin power pad or switcher or whatever it's called on top of the DC7600 and the acer on top of that. Like looking up at the screen at the old drive in movies. My eyes are 28 inches from the screen. I can even see it fairly clearly without my # 150 Dr. Dean Edell specials. Probly a bad angle but I can jack my chair up. Teeters around too much. Right now its on W/xp Pro. Clicking the screen > properties > settings I moved the screen resolution button so it indicates the 1920 X 1080. So I leter rip and it apparently works just fine there too. Am using the VGA cable. There is a cd comes with the monitor and that has a file Setup.exe which I haven't used yet and at this point probly won't. Anyway as of right now looks like it will work out but there is work to be done, settings to mess with etc. linux to install.

Fire him. Get someone else. I think you certainly seem to have cause to break the contract if he is not following the plan to the extent it is materially affecting the adequate completion of this job.

You know, Linelle, Apple used to be like that--just set the gamma and white point and you were in a decent place,as long as you weren't doing prepress or something, but that Apple is long gone, alas. It died before Steve Jobs did. I'm sure yours is good enough, but don't be too surprised in threads where everyone is complaining about, say, a pink cast to tile, and you can't see it. These days it seems like every copy of the OS they use for imaging has different settings. I see wildly different colors on the same machine models. On the other hand, with the emphasis shifting to mobile, proper calibration is a very low priority in most situations.
