Oh My Goodness! I got my BOX today from Miss Wendy!! Holy Cow!! First, lemme tell you...she put my address on a large ORANGEcolor> sheet of paper. With googly eyes!! The kids liked that. :O) Then, as I opened it up...the kids looking over my shoulder...they all screamed..."A BOX FULL OF CANDY! CANDY CANDY CANDY!!" To which I said...with large stick in hand..."DOWN DOWN DOWN, YOU JACKELS!! It's not like you've never gotten candy before!!!" (ok, maybe not with a stick...but I sure needed one!!) So, with kids climbing over me, on me and around me, I *tried* to write everything down as I found it in the box. Please forgive me, Wendy, if I missed anything! ~An orange & black rubber snake (Adora took off with this) ~A multi-colored skeleton light set ~A LARGE LARGE bowl of CANDY, puzzles, pencils, rubber skeletons & bats, halloween jewelry, whoopee cushions...Just TONS of stuff!! ~A bag of spider web (decorative, not real..LOL..) ~Bottles of Pumpkin bubbles ~Iris- "superstition" ~Mini mugs- pumpkins, kitties & ghosts! ~An IV bag of blood (cherry liquid candy...but STILL GROSS!! ICK!!! LOL) ~Ghost & pumpkin tealight candles ~VANILLA BEAN ORCHID!!! Yay!!! :O) ~Seeds!! Tons and tons of SEEDS!!! Some in cute halloween bags! You all are very inspiring - thank you. I keep working at making my yard wildlife friendly and you all remind me of why. Things are hopping here as babies are taught to forage at the bird feeders. The chickadees showed up yesterday - six (!) survived. It was a hoot. The downy woodpecker baby hasn't quite got the trick of the suet feeder but keeps pecking the metal pole and not understanding why he's not getting any suet - Dad Downy is a bit embarrassed I think. Only one thrasher baby survived and is being viciously defended by parents as he learns to forage, and two male red bellied woodpeckers got in a huge, rolling on the ground fight in the woods yesterday. Yikes. Great crested flycatcher knocked a blue jay out of the air when it got to close to the box. Sadly, my much loved Carolina wrens fledged too early and I doubt they will make it. They left the property as I have no underbrush here (yet) so can't monitor their progress. Had to stop mowing one area where robin babies are and the Mom hummingbirds are at the feeders more of late so juveniles can't be far behind. sowngrow - wrens here nested on my front porch. They tend to stay near humans as sort of a protection thing. Last year it was under my back porch which is very active, including my dogs being out there with me constantly and it did not seem to bother them at all. I have no idea where the phoebes nested. Built them two shelves but they went ignored so I need to relocate them. Love the phoebes! They feed in my yard daily, but no nesting. dodi34453 - love the blog. OK I will tell you that until you know what your countertops will be, picking color for your cabinets is going to be very tricky. As to BM Simply White for trim, that is in the Yellow Hue family, and it has a Chroma of .5 which means it has very little color in it; and it has an LRV (light reflective value) of 90. 100 is highest reflective number so that will reflect a lot of light. Nice for trim, and I like "satin" for the finish. Now for wall color. BM White Dove has a Chroma of .58 and an LRV of 83. We like more separation of Chroma (at least .20) and this is way too close. I don't think that will work. So you are in a tricky spot not knowing some key variables such as countertop colors. I think if you want light colors, I would do either of these two colors, but use different "finishes". It will vary from room to room due to light conditions. Since your carpet is tan, and your flooring is dark brown, I think I would lean toward the BM White Dove since it has a bit more warmth to it than Simply White. SW Alabaster has nice lightness and many have used it for both trim and walls, etc. Use Satin finish for your trim, flat or matte for walls and ceiling.

Hi there. I think your bathroom looks very nice. But I don't know about the shower curtain. The curtain itself is quite pretty but on my screen it doesn't seem to really stand out against the walls, which again, on my screen show up as kind of a pale aqua. what about something that brings in the paint colour. for example this one from wayfair looks like it might coordinate with both wall colour and flooring and bring a little pizzazz .
