Thank you all for the compliments! Ann, The parentage on Dad's daylily is AWAKENING X SPACECOAST SEEDLING. It is only three years old, but is a stunner at 36" with 6" blooms. Growgirl and Karen, You are probably right about BLUEBERRY SUNDAE, but then it changes to a NOID as that is what I purchased it as. It was one of my earlier DL purchases and I made the mistake of ordering a couple from the Spring Hill catalogue (this was before there were so many wonderful options on line!). It took five years for it to even bloom for me, so when it finally did, I had forgotten what it was supposed to look like :). Rita, I was surprised when you had mentioned Lee Pickles being on your shovel prune list because I love the color of mine. You had compared it to Wisest of Wizards in one post, and in my garden the two are nothing alike...LP is full of color, while WOW is more pastel (I also remember that your WOW had way more color than mine does). I will agree that it is not an agressive grower however, so if your space is limited like yours is, I can still see it heading out the door, even with the beautiful blooms it has given me. Judy, I got Gift From Heaven at Maryott's several years ago. I looked last year when people admired my posts, and they no longer had it listed. Chris, Burgandy Sister is not listed in the AHS database, but that is what it was sold to my Mom as 15 years ago, so Burgandy Sister is what it is in my garden. It is a division of hers that is new in my garden this year, but it is just a stunning daylily...I would say 6"...and it is a bloom machine. The clump of it is eyepopping! Julie

Hi Tony, Yay isn't that neat.. Yes, am trying hard to get hybrids, have my collection back up to about 26 or so..Both of the plants, and the older one with so many inflo's has no leaves either, aztec gold and the think Heidi are in the ground, also in ground with inflo is playful..no leaves..do water, don't know. . Pacific Pearl and Daisy have no leaves, inflo came, claws are just starting to come up. Plastic pink has all of the winter leaves on, never shed any? I discovered another inflo coming on a mystery one given to me. Now I just transplanted them the middle of march into 7 gallon containers, quite a bit of water then.. then week or so later fed them all a half dose of food and later superthrive.. don't know. did I push them?? then got warm too. YAY for you...13 inflo's that is absolutely fantastic!! what plant is it? Bet will be outstanding. I never knew you could get that many on a plant..like I see think 5 or 6 on one..I always just have one cascade.. so guess then the age helps. I am still learning, appreciate all your help. The temp setting depends on the bacon and your individual oven. My upper oven I set at 350, my lower oven 360. Oddly enough, they were both checked by a tech a few years back who pronounced the temperature settings accurate. I'm a bit of perfectionist when it comes to bacon (an undercooked piece of bacon is a terrible thing to waste), so I rotate the pans once or twice, pull them out and sometimes flip individual pieces, and pull out pieces that finish cooking sooner as they don't all brown at the same rate. I do 4 pans in one batch which contributes to the uneven cooking. I've tried both convection and non-convection, and decided I prefer cooking bacon without convection.
