Wren guard question- overly anxious??

ok, my bluebirds get way too much of my time.. but thats ok! I have been wracking my ears outside and on the web listening to bird calls trying to figure out if a wren is nearby. I THINK I hear one, but I have lots of finches which seem similar.

SO.. should I put up a guard or keep trying to figure it out? I have five eggs due to hatch a week from Saturday. Lots of time for a possible attack.

I'm REALLY nervous about attaching anything to the house. I don't want to rattle the eggs and I'm hyper anxious to remove the nest. I bought a half gallon milk (kids wanted chocolate milk, gone in one night!) last night to make the guard per the sialis site.

What would be the worst is if my suspicions were right and I had done nothing...

Should I take the chance to remove the nest and put up a guard? With the nest removed I can staple gun the plastic milk jug guard very quickly. Drilling holes and using screws would take much longer... any help here??! BTW, I havn't seen any wrens at feeders..
