Well, it's finally happened, Hawk ate one of the birds

This morning, I am watching the yard from the bedroom when a large flock of pigeon appears. These guy were way larger than all of the birds visiting the feeder. In fact, the pigeon are bigger than the squirrels.

Suddenly, they took off. This sort of thing happened before. They fly in and eat then mysteriously take off, making a lot of noise. This time a pair started fighting on the ground. That's when I realized that one of them is not a pigeon but a hawk. This guy was bigger than the pigeons. Eventually the hawk killed off the pigeon.

I went to show my wife, but by the time we came back, it had flew off with the pigeon (which was a surprise to me since they were that much larger than the pigeon). My wife said that they commonly fly off with their prey.

I didn't get a chance to get a picture. Now I can't figure out which type of hawk it is (I only seen it up top). I guess I can eliminate them by size. It's probably not a Sharp-shin, since it'll be smaller than a very large pigeon.
