I am planning a design for a L-shape border (width: 166inchx130inch; Depth:30inch)along my patio where a dining table located.

Currently, I have 3 three-year-old red knockout rose in one side of the border, and there are nothing at the corner and the other side of the L shape.

Should I plan knockout rose in the entire border and then another row of catmint in front, properly a yesterday/today/tomorrow at the corner?

Well, my husband think there is too many knockout roses. His idea is to have one side of the L-shape has knockout and there other side has Plumbago Auriculata and properly a Pieris at the corner.

I do love mixed border, but having 3 big knockout rose on one side. I find it hard to not go for a symmetric design.

Please Help!
