Unless you build a kennel, I doubt anything will work... The thick areas of my lawn choke this out.

I noticed today that there are strawberries all over my lawn. I didn't notice them before cause they were tucked away in some of the bare spot underneath the grass... I noticed them now cause of their yellow flowers and berries. Any way to get rid of them without killing my lawn? Will they take over everything if left alone? -Cheryl

Hard to say. They spread by runners and if its anything like creeping charlie its hard to know where its about to come up. If you want to go non toxic try a product like Burn Out II which is vinegar, lemon juice and clove oil or an herbicidal soap. Both work by degrading the leaf surface, albeit from different ends of the pH scale. Doubtful that one app will kill it but if you apply and overseed often enough it'll give up the ghost eventually. Lightly apply though because both are non selective. Fire is awesome but such a small margin for error.....

Yup. Looks like a seedling or shoot of some woody plant. The rest are the strawberries - or not since I wasn't sure as to what they were. I would have liked to see a closer picture or a different angle. FataMorgana
