There are many very good herbicides out there for each crop, I use a combination of herbicides, cultivation and plastic mulches. I use herbicides the most on sweetcorn and pumpkins, but for vegetables like tomato peppers eggplant squash and melons plastic mulch is the best option...Bob.

Image is still on the market as far as I know. Image is for nut grass and other bulb-originating weeds (like wild garlic/onion). I purchased Image at Home Depot. What weeds are you trying to kill? Always read the label of any herbicide to make sure it is safe for your grass (helpful for others to know even if you already know that). Here is a link that might be useful: Image

Sorry, though for a split second my instinct was that cacti were monocots, of course they are not. They are actually Caryophyllales which is somewhat amusing if you think about it. (carnations with spines...you can see the vague semblance of floral form) So there is no selective that will get rid of Charlie without also damaging or killing the cacti. You are left either hand weeding the Glechoma...over and over and over, or trying some technique to create a physical barrier as you spray some amine-based selective or non-selective herbicide. (NOT ester selectives...the best for Charlie in a lawn is ester triclopyr, but the vapors from it could damage nearby plants if you're doing close-together spraying) Standby for scaremongering posts about how using any herbicide will cause everyone in your family to get terminal cancer next week and end life as we know it on this planet in 3...2...1.

I do have Ornamec (fluazifop) also, but what I finally settled on based on my research is Turflon Ester in the Summer, bookended with one application of Ornamec in Spring and once in Fall. It's not so easy for me to get to it in the evening - I'm busy with my kids, plus my tenant is home and I try to just stay out of her way to give her privacy. I will try to squeeze it in next week on one of the mornings they are in camp and when the forecast high is only for about 84/85.
