We have just received our shipment of daylilies. These varieties will be discussed during the May 3rd seminar being held in the Casita. We have nice photo cards to show the really great colors of these selections. Hurry out while the selection is good.

Upcoming....

MAY 3 - An Herb Affair - (10 am - 3 pm) The Comal County Master Gardeners will delight your senses with this wonderful exploration of herbs. Recipes, samples. Demonstrations will be held in the Hacienda. (FREE)

May 3 - Daylily Seminar - (11 am) Learn where, when to plant and how to care for this drought-tolerant perennial. Daylilies are great plants to add to your rose garden. Seminar will be held in the Casita. (FREE)

May 10 - Children's Day in the Garden (1-4 pm) Join the Bexar County Master Gardener's presentation especially for our younger friends. We will be offering hands-on fun and educational activities with garden and outdoor themes. You are sure to take home some great crafts and pleasant memories. Held in the Casita. (FREE)

July 4th - Closed for Independence Day

September 13 & 14 - Celebrate Art in the Garden - Vendors with garden inspired objects will be located on the grounds festival style.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS... If you make garden related art and would like to be considered for our fall art festival (September 13-14,2008) we would like to talk to you! Not the usual crafts but works of art will be sold festival style on the grounds of the Hacienda de las Rosas.

So far we have heard from a metal artist, a clay artist, ladies with a great selection of scenic notecards.... to name a few.

Vendor space is only $25! Come by and show us what you have!

The west side of the Evans/Nacogdoches intersection remains open but... THE EAST SIDE OF EVANS/NACOGDOCHES INTERSECTION IS STILL CLOSED as this side's work has not been completed.

If traveling from IH-35/Austin:

Take IH 35 to EXIT 175 for FM-3009/ NATURAL BRIDGE CAVERNS

Turn RIGHT onto FM 3009/ NATURAL BRIDGE CAVERNS RD/ ROY RICHARD DR. Continue to follow FM 3009 (West).

Turn LEFT onto FM 2252 (South).

After crossing the Cibolo Creek Bridge, turn RIGHT onto EVANS ROAD.
