Veg. Bed saga continues...

Hopefully this organism will learn...

I have built and filled my raised bed with about 3 tons (I mean literally) of soil and composted soil shoveled by me. 3 chair massages at Whole Foods. FYI the massage therapists are all good there!

Now I'm rying to foil my dog who is certain I put that organic matter and fertilizer in for his pleasure. I built the bed up 2 cinder blocks high. Yes, I carried in 94 blocks by hand.. .I wanted to rise above his squirt level. Didn't think he would find gardeing so fascinating!

Today I laid coated wire over the bed and gently pulled the tomatoes, peppers, cukes and squash plants through. I used landscapers pins to secure it...I hope. I also bought a shock collar system which I hope to return but am willing to use if he figures a way around the wire.

BTY, I coated the surface with hot pepper Thursday. It got to me...but not to him. In the meantime, what do y'all use for your tomato plants: stake or cages or something else?

thanks all

c
