I just bought 2 at Pikes and my tag says 4'x 4'. The women at Pikes said they could be pruned if I want to keep them small. She suggested this one because it is the smallest of the Loropetalum.

I have 2 that I planted a little over a year ago, but they aren't full maturity height yet. I haven't pruned them and the main bush is probably 2' with a few new shoots around 3'. I'm sure they will get at least 1-2' taller.

Thanks for the info. It looks like I have to join Snapfish to see the rest of your pictures, but I was able to see the first one. My mother ended up buying one, so I'm going watch hers, but it sounds like it takes several years to get to it's mature size.

planted mine last fall with the dwarf Purple Pixie...they are the same size! Neither seems to be growing, but they did put on new leaves after the nard freeze. My other plants are growing like weeds, so it isn't the soil. I've heard they don't like too much water, don't think that's the problem.

I just planted two Purple Pixie in my front yard. I sure hope they spread faster than yours :)
