Small white dove...

Because you are the smartest folks I know. I wonder if you know who this little dove is. I've tried to search, even found a great site that gives dove calls with descriptions. No luck. I suspect he's an escapee. He has definitely found the feeders in my yard.

The best description I can give.

This small dove has red crings around his eyes. He is white with a grey tail. The tail is squared at the tip...like a Mockingbird's tail.

He is about the size of an aztec dove...but quite the round body. Any ideas?

Maybe an escaped Swiss Mondaine?

I said on another post that i think Cloud White is highy underrated. I find it to be milky, but not creamy. More of a warmer white, not too stark, but not yellowish. They probably wiuld bith work with the colors you selected. I have cloud white with SW Contented and BM Carrington Beige and it works well with both. To my eye, white dove looks more creamy (yellow) in samples than it does in pics of people's cabinets. BM also lists them as coordinating colors. Your best bet is peobably to get large paped samples or sample pots of both to look at in the space once the floors are installed and cabinets are installed. Maybe one will jump out as the right one, but they will probably both work.

I used SW throughout my house because I just love it. White Dove was a strong contender too but as previously mentioned by others, it came across cooler and darker with a suggestion of green.

@Priya You just have to test. Acadia looks great in my Hawaii house and terrible in my Idaho house because Northern light is more yellow than at the equator. (I had to switch to Simply White in Idaho, which looks like Acadia in Hawaii.) When I needed a "white" for the exterior of my recent house I tested at least 10 colors to come up with the right one. Remember you really don't want a white outside because colors look way lighter outside. A white will be blinding. I ended up using BM Ancient Oak 940 which is is pretty close to the "almond" metal soffits, and on the house it looks white most of the time, at sunset caan look slightly yellow.

I was betwixt and between the same colors. Ordered samplize large samples of each. Decided on simply white everywhere - trim ceiling and walls and the results are stunning. Went with the Aura line - matte walls and satin trim and doors. Was worried about how it would look once up with our already installed white kitchen cabinets but this white is very forgiving. Definitely not too yellow (white dove was WAY to yellow). Even in low light and shadows the walls tur just the palest cream. Really lovely.

I saw it again tonight. The chest is white, the back is pale grey. It seemed more white this morning, but that may have been because I saw under its wings...tonight I looked down on its back...pale grey. Red feet and eye ring. I'll be it was a pet. It makes a lovely cooing sound.

Yep,sounds like a diamond. I had those for awhile as pets. Very beautiful and a joy to watch and listen to!

At one time I kept them as pets also. Sweet little things, but they so wanted to be wild. They would sit and just look at the sky and trees outside their large wrought iron cage that was placed in the garden, the one pictured on one of the gallery posts. Then they found a way to escape. In a way I was glad. I saw them a couple of times after that and hoped they could survive. They are originally from Australia.

Pigeons will come back to their loft when let out. I used to keep the door to the Indian fan tail pigeon cage open until the hawks started getting them. Doves always fly away.

Thanksfor the insight Roselee. I'll bet that's what happened here. I haven't seen him today, I'll check again this evening. The lawn guys were working next door and the tree shredders were busy down the street. I'f I could fly I would get away too! Give ma a dog over a crew with leaf blowerSSSS (yes, Imean multiples) any day.
