tropical fruit trees and alkaline soil

I understand that most tropical fruit trees prefer acidic soil. I have been adding a bit of vinegar to my water to maintain a neutral to mildly acidic soil. The tap water here is alkaline. I was wondering if there are certain tropical fruit trees that prefer alkaline soil. I understand that star apple and chocolate persimmon trees in particular can tolerate alkaline soil, however that doesn't necessarily mean that they prefer it. Thoughts?
