I should also mention that we were near freezing over the weekend. Do you think this may be cold damage since all of my plants are affected (more than 20 plants)? Thanks again!

Your post is very timely. My tomatoes have the very same spots. This is the reason I came to this website is to find out what the problem might be.

Yep! Same here! I never had this problem last year, but then again last year i didn't put in my tomatoes until late March. These babies have been in the ground since February. Could this be lingering frost damage that is only becoming apparent now?

I'm baffled by this, and I think it has something to do with climate changes because I noticed the same thing on my mother's tomato plants.

I'm having the same problem too! We also just had a bunch of rain, and it did get down into the 50s one night, but that's it. No one seems to know what it causing it and I don't know how to treat it!!!

Check out this page, may give you some ideas. Most likely it is all the rain. I have a simular problem on one particular variety only, which is weird, but I'm just chalking it up to that variety is more susceptible than the other ones.

Mine too. Although, I looked under the leaves and there are eggs all over the place. Looks like whatever it is is sucking the life right out of the leaves. So far, only on one plant. Any ideas?

Did you harden off the plants before putting them out in the garden?

Mine are yellowing with little brown dots everywhere. My girlfriend had the same two weeks after planting ...it's taken mine two months after planting. (we planted the same time) I pulled the majority of spotted leaves off and sprayed soapy water on the remaining good leaves, we'll see if it comes back. I don't believe they are burn spots as tomato plants love the sun.

It could be "blight" and also looks like (two-spot) spider-mite damage, maybe a combination of the two.

I've got the same thing going on, 12 plants in 5 gal buckets. This evening I found a leaf that was just covered in white. I think it is fungus but my Girlfriend thinks it is mold. I will treat for both after a quick visit to the nursery with the leaf. Until she spoke up I would have used neem with one drop of clorox in a 1/2 gallon solution. I will post what the guy at the nursery has to say Monday night.

Okay, Sorry this was not posted last night. I stopped for gas on my way out and my rig wouldn't stay running. Seems there was to much methanol or ethanol in the fuel I had just gotten. 90% instead of the 10%. GRRRR.
So, off to the green house this morning. To much water, not enough fertilizer.

I think it is Bush's fault

I have the same thing on my tomato plants. I think it is grey leaf spot the way it was coming on. The spots start on the under side of the leaves and "eat" their way through. I noticed it after a bunch of rain. I can tell you it is not burn spots as we have not been having too many sunny days. It has been very cloudy. The rain has stopped, but this is still spreading. I have been spraying with a fungicide twice a week for the past couple weeks and it is not stopping. I did some research and actually posted pictures earlier today and think it is grey leaf spot, which the fungicide I have does not cover. Go figure.

hobocat, take a look at my pics on the post entitled "grey leaf spot" and see what you think. Does anyone know how to get rid of this or should I yank my plants and start over?
