About me: I am in the process of turning my five acres here in La Pine into gardens. I am not new to gardening. I have had gardens in 7 States from coast to coast and Hawaii while in the US Army. I’ve had my challenges in the garden but nothing like - 16 deg. below zero in the middle of July. My Grandparents were able to grow corn and tomatoes here but I don’t seem to be able to. They are gone now so it is to late to ask them how they were able to do it.
I am rural, and I love it. My closest neighbor is across the road 2/10ths of a mile away. We are not friends but we are there for each other without being asked, just as it should be.
More soon,
James
