Birdie says she doesn't want to be rescued yet. She just landed today and is, at this moment, probably enjoying being pampered, and maybe even fattened. She took quite a chill on her most leg of this journey.

Veeja, no I'm not holding anything hostage. Remember, I had this box already. I'm just adding to your (no so) quiet anticipation!

Ladies, just want to let you know that the box was delivered to someone to hold until the recipient can get to it. She's in temp. living quarters awaiting house closing (supposed to be today), but was snowed in yesterday. The box is safe, and though she expects to get to it today, I don't know whether she will be able to post. If she doesn't divulge herself tonight, I'll break the tension and tell you who has it tomorrow.

OMG, this has to be killing nature, mellen and veeja. too funny. i'm going to be laughing all night long! going to need to get to thedrug store and stock up on depends! LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Whitemagick, I'm glad you like them. It was hard to send that big one off. I could just barely get it into the box & it's so thin and fragile that I was almost sure that it would break along the way, no matter what I did to protect it, or how many times I scrawled "FRAGILE GLASS" on every surface of that box in giant letters w/my red Sharpie. It all seemed to add up to perfect reasons to keep it for myself. Wanting to keep it had nothing to do w/the fact that I loved that color myself.,(wink, wink) Maybe the only reason it made it there in one piece was because it was insured. LOL I wasn't at all worried about the smaller glass items, though. That ole "pack 'em tightly in taped shut egg cartons" trick and leaving no room for them to shift has always worked for me.

Have you ever used that gel stuff for cut flower arrangements before? When I was buying it, the lady at the checkout counter swore it was the best thing since fresh bread, and it's reusable. I think I might splurge and buy some for myself this summer when I actually have something to put in a vase besides the dandelions the kiddos give me everyday. I'm counting on WS'ing to provide some variety in my arrangements.

I'm glad the gifts were appropriate. It felt like sending you a housewarming gift!

As for whether or not to tell who's next, it doesn't matter to me. I sort of enjoyed keeping Jody, Mellen, and Veeja in suspense - but that's only because I like them. (I can't wait to hear them squeal when one of them finally gets it!)

Okay we need everyone to mail depends to earthly 1 or 100 whatever you have. Earthly could we get your mailing addy please. As long as Skohler know where the robin is, I can be kept in the dark, although Mellen is close to having to share Earthlys depends. Still waiting

for . I put an extra bag of seeds in the box so maybe other will find something else for there garden 's & ask only to replace what they take I don't need tons of seed.
this is not why I started this box.
many of us had signed up for RR's in the pass only to have them drop out of sight & I did not want that to happen here .
so with this said I hope we can all move on .

wow, i didn't see anything wrong here. other than a major bout of anticipation, i thought all this was done in good spirit. maybe i'd be a little anxious too, waiting so long, but when you have 30 or so people, you have to give it at least three months to make its rounds. as we wait with patience for spring and the first of our blooms, we also have to have patience to wait for the box.

one thing i notice, is that sometimes people don't pay attention to what's already been posted. for whatever reason, but maybe if they read, re-read and grasped what has been written, then some of the confusion could be cleared.

this isn't my robin, just one i was involved in in the spirit it was intended -- a friendship box. should be handled as such. afterall, we are all adults.

If we are going to b*tch and moan about things, how about spell check or editing what was written before hitting submit to lessen further confusion.

Oh, wow! I'm away from the board for a day and it's like the editors just pulled my favorite comic strip!

I've kept coming back to read this thread even when it hasn't been my turn just because of the lighthearted fun. Between the snowball shipments and dear Jody living in a time warp and always thinking that Earthly has the box, it's been hilarious.

I guess that since this is a garden forum, even partypoops are welcome. After all - It all becomes compost in the end. (That, was intended to be humor - NOT calling anyone in particular a partypoop and trying to hurt feelings.)

Seriously, Njoynit won't be receiving the box until at least Wednesday. She and whoever follows during the week after need to know that if they pull Mellen's card, they need to tape it back up and pull someone new. 'Cuz, otherwise, you KNOW it's bound to be headed there w/no one to feed it and keep it warm. When I signed up I worried that it might get to me right as we were leaving for a 2 week vacation. Looks like it decided to tease Mellen instead. Maybe she'll pick up a coconut to stick in the exchange. That would be one BIG seed!

And what's all this about a TRUCE?! A truce means you gals are going to behave (gasp!) normally. How about just going back to being your own normal selves? You brightened my days just reading your crazy posts. I hope to see more of them. That's my entire 2 cents.

Jody, I don't know if Whitemagick ever actually sent out the box. She intended to send it to njoynit last Monday and was going to post the confirmation #, but hasn't. Njoynit had been watching for it, but it hadn't arrived as of last night. Maybe Sue knows where it is.

last I heard from whitemagic was last friday the 28 dec she said she would get it in the mail on monday.
I send email today to see if she can take time to let us know what is going on .
I hope the box has not been boxnapped .
I have given her till sun or monday to cantact me of what is going on with the box .
if I have not heard by then I will put togeather another box to finish out the rest of the players .
& hope that white magick will just return the box to me when she gets settle into her her home .
