I would so love to trade you for these...Just to have seeds from Hawaii would be exciting to me. From your want list I have Mesclun mix Trifetti ornamental pepper However if you are interested in other varieties of pepper plant I do have those, and also many other types of seeds, including 4-5 different types of Basil. 1. Looks like a hydrangea, but i'm not really sure 2. Red Ginger and Bird of Paradise 3 & 7. I espacially like this one. This is Metrosideros tremuloides (where was this picture taken?). The Hawaiians called this flower lehua ahihi. The native Hawaiian species in the genus Metrosideros are called Ohi'a (Ohi'a referring to the tree, lehua to the flower). The special thing about this species is its lanceolate leaves and distinct petioles - and of course the fact that it is endemic to the island i live on... O'ahu. If "over here" = east of the Cascades check soil and water suitablility, if no montbretias (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora) being seen over there that could be a red flag--they tend to be common where adapted*, as they are prolific and easily grown for the most part (rather heavy damage from mites is often seen on them during our dry midsummer conditions in Seattle area). And the hybrid 'Lucifer' is also prevalent, it may be significant that you saw it all over on your trip but not where you live. Sunset WESTERN GARDEN BOOK gives west-side only Zones for Crocosmia (in PNW), says "Where lows range from 10 to -5F/12 to -21C, provide winter mulch. In colder areas, dig and store over winter." *Actually a pest in Hawaii

Howdy Andrew, and welcome to the forum. Since there are many dozens of common passion flower species and none native to Hawaii (that I'm aware of) is it possible to post a pic? The "Mollissima" type is most common to the Hawaiian isles, but that's a tasconia with a pinkish, hanging flower, very different from what you describe. I'd be willing to trade even without positive ID. I can send you incarnata root stock--my plants in the back yard are just now starting to send up shoots, and are easy to find and dig up. I've also got some caerulea which is certainly edible, but not palatable.
