Please help ID 2 things

Hi all, i am growing my first crop of tomato plants and i am probably just being paranoid but i have two things i would really like to identify. First off i cut the end of a leaf off because it had a hard white dome shaped thing stuck underneath it.The other thing i would like identified are these little reddish brown bugs. There are hundreds running around the floor near my hydroponic nutrient tank. There are also some of the same bugs inside my nutrient tank. I will upload three pictures to help identify these things.

This is the hard white lump underneath my tomato leaf, it looks like small eggs joined together with a really hard shell ???

And these pictures are of the bug that i find near my nutrient tank and inside it there are hundreds running around on the floor outside,(i am using an autopot system).

These bugs are about 1mm long

Well, it's a bit too blurry for me to help much. The little ones look rather like cockroach nymphs, though. Could that be a possibility?

Thanks for the reply, i dont think its cockroach nymphs, as they are all the same size they live in the soil where one of my plants is, if i dig the soil up i see them running all over. They are exactly the same as the ones in my nute tank. I got two awesome pictures today.

The first one is of the cockroach looking bugs. You get an idea of the size of it in the first picture as it is on my hand.

Ashley, welcome to gardenweb forums. For your "zone" it says ID. Did you put that because you were visiting the ID section of gardenweb or because you are in Idaho? I've got one here in 9A in the yard in full sun. You can't kill this thing, so I've learned to like it. We often cut it all the way back, and it returns as a monster bush...about 7' high and 12' wide.. (Left unsaid: ...but if you don't also live in a warm place, don't dig a hole in the yard for this plant and expect it to still be alive next spring.) Whichever reason is behind your "ID", I invite you to zone finder page. Put your ZIP in the box and hit enter. If you include it in your profile info, it will show up next to your name automatically when you post something to these forums and enable people to give you more accurate advice based on your climate and location. My "8b AL" means I'm in zone 8b in Alabama. So you don't have to ask me if my plants are getting enough humidity, for example.

These are both neonate (hatchling) snakes which can have patterns very different from the adults. This one looks to me like it might be a baby Calico Snake (Oxyrhopus petolarius). The head shape and pattern are pretty close for that species. I have attached a photo of an adult from Chiapas, Mexico for comparison.

Much improved images, thank you! But, darn it all, I haven't a clue as to what these things are! Rest assured that this will 'bug' me to no end until I or someone else (Jean????) comes up with an ID!

If I were you, I would remove the cluster on the tomato leaf.

thanks for your reply anyway, please if anyone else has an idea it would be greatly appreciated. I just cut the end off the leaf that had the cluster on it, really weird stuff. I now have another red spider looking thing, it looks like a mite but i think its too large. I can spot them really easily without a magnifying glass ??? Here are two pics of the latest bug which are like twice the size of the first bug i showed you.

I just don't want to get rid of something that may be helpful in the long run.

Now, THAT's an arachnid of some sort, a velvet mite or similiar. I'm now thinking that the other critter is an arachnid, too. I had thought that it had 6 legs and long antennae, but those 'feelers' suddenly look like legs to me.
