There is a group of us gardenwebbers that get together a couple of times a year for a plant swap and Bar-B-Q. Some of us ladies get together thru out the year, visiting each others gardens and swapping plants and going to plant sales and nurseries together. It is one of these ladies who I visited with that I received these plants from. It is now her turn to visit with me and we hope to make a side trip to Gardino's nursery. Denise....there is a yellow heushkeliana and I think that is what I may have. It does have peduncles on it now and they sure do look like all the photo's I see. I just wish I could get a good picture to show ya'll. Would make me feel so much better if it was confirmed. You confirmed my thoughts pretty much on the others.#8 has to be some kind of a publicalyx, #5 has me baffled too. Several of these Hoya's have the huge leaves with stout vines. And I think I read somewhere that you are a big fan of the big leaf hoya's. pugluvr I feel very fortunate that I received these plants from this wonderful and generous lady. The big leggy fellows are crane flies. Not a problem to anyone or any plant. They're just hanging out. As for the 3rd picture -- too little detail to be certain of the ID. Doesn't appear to be a broccoli raab damager.

Thanks, I saw a photo with dymondia and loved it. I ordered and the seller just sent me small plugs. There are only 3 left out of 5. They also haven't moved or grown in around a month. I understand it is slow growing. I took the pot that was labeled creeping thyme back to the nursery today that sells stepables. They haven't gotten this years inventory, but will in 3 weeks. I had come to the conclusion that it was thyme like elfin thyme, but one of the workers said to smell it. The plant has no smell thus she says it isn't thyme. Right now I am going to wait until their inventory comes in. I believe this - whatever it is - might work. It is small and definitely looks spreadable. I did look up the specs on the other plant Mazus blue and white. Most said it was hard to keep under control. This has been an education - Thanks for all your help. Carol

I do not know what the bugs are. Plantlets look ok. I wouldn't complicate rooting so much - I don't see advantage of using paper towels; as you found , it could e annoying trying to get the roots detangled (I never heard of this method). I like it as simple as possible. Most of the time, I just lay leaves on surface of pretty gritty mix and they root and grow in it. I transplant them easily when they are big and start interfering with each other.
