Found tiny black bug crawling on the bottom of my okra leaves.
Comments (1)Without a picture or a much more detailed description it's impossible to ID but if there is no damage to the plant then it is likely no problem. Most bugs in the garden are harmless or even beneficial. ;) Ants have segmented bodies while beetles have single segment bodies with a hard carpace. There are many bug pics on the web you can review so I'd suggest you Google "okra pests" and see if any of those are your visitor. Hope this helps. Dave...See Moretiny bugs

Comments (16)Thanks Patty! I just ordered a bottle from amazon. Question: how exactly do I apply it? Do I pour into a spray bottle or do I need to somehow add it to my hose? (New at gardening so excuse the dumb question. I tried to search amazon reviews but didn't find the answer) Also, should I spray the whole tree or just that single branch that has blooming flowers? I haven't seen them on the other branches but maybe I'm just not looking close enough. Should I spray my other plants as well? All my plants are in the same area... Lettuce, basil, green onion, other citrus plants, etc... Thanks so much!!! Spinosad seems like a miracle worker!...See Moretiny, tiny white bugs in lawn
Comments (5)Small, whitish, or tannish, colored moths probably are the adult stage of sod webworms, usually not much of a problem in a good, healthy turf. Webworms do not always make those webs and may not need any control if there is little or no visible damage to the lawn. Your Rutgers Cooperative Extension Service will be of help if asked but this Penn State article may also be of some use. Here is a link that might be useful: About Sod Webworms...See MoreKimmsr
