hello, Hazel, congratulations. what patience - waiting for six years for blooms!! is it because your warm sunny season is so short (like ours)? I am wondering if i will ever see flowers here because of that. we have the same lack of purchasing ability here in canada. they are all labelled white, pink, red or yellow. my 2 year old seedling survivors are doing well so far.

Hello Sue, How nice to hear from you. I haven't posted for a while. Don't give up on your plants, even though I'm disappointed that the first two haven't come true to their supposed names,last years was a superb rosy red with yellow middle. The new one to open this year was supposed to be Chiang Mae rainbow but is very much like Celadine my old plumeria but with a different sweeter lemony smell. Also it doesn't hold it's blooms like Celadine.
I definately won't be buying any more as I've quite a lot. I bet my home grown seedlings have more exciting colours that's if the seeds were of the varieties given!If I can wait that long! They are around 4 years old now.

Hazel- remember only about 50% of seeds are true to the parents and the others have from small to large changes due to the large number of genes. Also, seedling can take forever to bloom or they can bloom in 2-6 years. Good to hear your voice again and sorry you got something you didn't expect. I have had it happen from reputable growers myself and after 3 years or more, what can you really do. Bill

Hello Bill, I see your lovely pictures from time to time and I can't help feeling just a little envious as it all seems so easy for some of you. It takes such an effort to take them all in and out of the greenhouses to the house and back again every year only to find they aren't what they're supposed to be. On the positive side they are still beautiful by whatever name. I've got another waiting in the wings to show it's glory - wonder what it will look like? I'll let you know. Perhaps my seedlings will flower one day and I'll have a stunner!

hello, hazel, thanks for the encouragement. with more sun they seem to be really growing well. I have put only 2 of them outside so far which have stalled. I am planning to put most of my plants out by middle of next week. we still have quite cold nights here. I feed my addiction by reading and enjoying everyone's comments and pictures here.
