I am indeed...but then, i put sticky notes on my steering wheel to remind me to watch when a big flip is coming up on my odometer...should hit 110,000 next month ;~) So thanks, i'll more than likely watch the coutdown on my phone, since i don't have much else to do at work @ 4:05:06....oh shoot, my phone don't do seconds...no internet access at work, either...oh well, maybe next time...;~)

It's called Brown's Select, a very hardy variety that's supposed to ripen early, the favorite of many citrus growers. I got mine from a road side vegetable/fruit stand, but the tag on it said it was grafted at Becnel's Citrus Nursery, which is the origin of all the local citrus around here. So what do you do? First you quit worrying about hypothetical problems that might have been. Then you plant your tomatoes, having learned from your mistakes, as your space allows without over-crowding them, and cross your fingers like the rest of us do. ;) Seriously, it is hard enough to diagnose a relatively rare disease when the plant is sitting right in front of you. It is impossible to know what may or may not have been wrong with a plant last year from a description and minimal details. You might as well flip a coin and go for 5 out of 7. The most likely explanation is that the plants wilted and died because they were grossly over crowded. Aside from that, plants die. We all lose a few each year. But that doesn't mean that it was because of some complex disease or something that has doomed us to failure for the future. There are 50 more likely reasons than bacterial wilt. So cut yourself and your plants some slack. Relax and enjoy the process, remember it is supposed to be fun rather than causing ulcers from anticipating so many possible problems. ;) Dave

This injury was not done guiding fabric under the machine, but rather fiddling with the thread while I wasn't even sewing. Somehow I pricked my finger on the needle, panicked, then heat the foot pedal with my foot before I could get my finger out of the way of the needle. Now that I think on it, the accident could have been a lot worse.
