Well they were planted last summer and made it through last winter outside. It was a cold, nasty winter with almost every day from Thanksgiving to mid March sub freezing. Winter low was -15F or so.

Front yard Trachycarpus Fortunei. It's pushing out new fronds. Should it look this bunched up at top? Seems each newer frond has a little shorter petiole than the last. Wonder if the grower grew it in more shade than I have it?

Front yard Washingtonia Robusta. Growing at a good pace so far. How large can I expect this to get this year?

Front yard Cycas Revoluta. Waiting for a flush patiently so I can get rid of the burn.

Front yard Parajubaea Torallyi. Must have had root damage when shipped. It came bare root and I lost every frond. It is pushing up green from the center though.

Front yard Majesty Palm. Bought this from Home Depot for $4.99 to use as an annual. Acclimated it, but it still sunburned to crap. Is it worth keeping here, will it recover nicely by the middle of summer or should I rip it out?

Backyard Washingtonia Robusta. Damn GFI tripping last winter caused it to lose all its fronds. Oh well, it's growing again.

Backyard Butia Capitata. Spear is moving upwards!

Backyard small Trachycarpus Fortuneis. Test experiment. Overwintered with NO HEAT. Just mulch and water protection. One looks good, other burned up. Both pushing new green growth. No spear pulls.

Backyard pool! New addition this year.
